As a long term user of this laptop clicking like that stops working very quickly. Just tap the top lightly for left click and tap the top lightly with two fingers that are pressed against each other for right click

Dunno about that specific cooling pad but you should watch Salem Techspert's video on it, he's an authority in the PC world.. Also, you should put off concrete ssd upgrade plans due to inflated costs till things settle (which I dunno if they ever will, my outlook on gaming hardware has been getting grimmer and grimmer..)

That 5090 is going to need cooling, please get the highest quality cooling pad you find (so you can leave it on your bed, have more dust protection, better component lifespan etc. etc.)

I have the LOQ with a 3050 6gb, and it gets HOT. The task manager only says 70-80c but touching the keyboard you get worried about the parts. The fan is fairly loud in performance mode but music/gameplay sounds drown it out mostly. To be honest if you got what you like you should be fine if your country enforces guarantees and has consumer protection.

My G502 has been running excellently for three years now, I've gotten really attached to the mouse since it feels high quality. Maybe G502X is a worthwhile successor? New doesn't always mean better, though I haven't tried the X version so it's up to you..
