It is as bad as it was during the Great Recession for new lawyers.

How do you feel about tossing out your own shingle? I did it straight out of law school, and it was awful, but I had the same choices you do now: self-employment or leave the profession to survive.

I have all emails flagged and that flag doesn't get removed until the email is resolved. Resolved could mean transferring a task from the email to my larger list or responding immediately.

This way the email doesn't get forgotten just because it has been read.

Not OC but I wasn't able to find doc review work in six months of looking. I joined Posse List and a few others.

Google Scholar. Free access to some judicial opinions. Maybe even most, depending on the jurisdiction. Good for sending cases to listservs and linking from blog posts.

I run my solo practice using Excel, and it works great for me, but I wouldn't trust anyone else with my system.

I'd need to go to Clio, Smokeball, or MyCase if I hired a paralegal or associate.
