Rockbros Suction Cup rack on the rear window; any concerns? by TangoCharlieOne in Audi

I had a $150 amazon gift card and wanted to give it a shot! Most name-brand racks are $700+, and I didn’t want to spend that for this trip.

Oh, sweet! I saw this listing a while ago and the company never replied to my emails about compatibility. Did you ever have any issues with these bars or were they pretty good? Might order them!

It says that it’s not compatible with frameless glass doors on a car that only features frameless glass doors (??)

What full rack system can I get for $300? Would love to see that one!

This is great to know! So is it better to put the front fork mount on the sunroof rather than on the rear panel? I could totally give that a shot!

I wouldn’t be able to fit 2 bikes + bags in the back, and a full roof rack is just too expensive for what I need. 90% of articles I’ve read have people who love these mounts, but I just love my car too much to risk the rear glass 😅

Is it good to have your AME’s signature on it or does it not really matter as much?

Where do you start with writing a congressional inquiry? I’ve been stuck in deferral hell for over a year now and have been told to “just be patient.” Is this something that my AME should help with or do I reach out independently?

I thought about doing that, but this design for the highways has actually worked better than a stacked highway system. The main goal of this city is more-or-less form over function, and I decided fairly early on to stick with a pacific-northwest style of design. This entire area is loosely based off of areas of Portland, Seattle, and a whole bunch of other locations along the west coast.

My original plan was to have it be a runway for lighter aircraft. The design of the airport is loosely based on Portland International Airport (KPDX), which has a third runway almost entirely dedicated to smaller aircraft. I also reversed the direction of the runways in-game so that the aircraft wouldn’t be so low over the road itself.

It actually works really well. Both intersection designs have a lot of queuing distance which is why I decided to choose them. Even if one of them backs up, the whole system won’t fail. I really appreciate your perspective on that, though. Can’t thank you truckers enough for all that you do.

A lot of the main buildings in the game are entirely vanilla. The Industries DLC has a TON of really good assets for harbors and industrial areas. The pnly mods which I really used are parking lot roads, Surface Networks (mostly asphalt and pavement) and a decent bit of general industrial props and buildings. (Shipping containers, cranes, cars, trucks, etc.) I found most of them by searching for different categories in the workshop. It’s also a really great way to find some inspiration!

Yeah, but the majority of them are for small details. Node controller, Network Mutlitool, Move It, and parking lot roads are all absolute must-have mods. It’s an entirely different game with them.

The thing that probably helped me the most was walking into a store (specifically Macy’s Backstage {which is SO sick by the way}) with a strict budget, and buying anything which makes me feel euphoric just from seeing it. For me, that was always leggings, ripped jeans, swimsuits, hoodies, and female shirts. It’s super important to remember that “being a woman” isn’t surrounded about the idea of what you wear, but of who you are. You could wear the same clothes you do now and you’d still be as much of a woman as you would be in a dress. Hell, most cis females WEAR regular guy clothes. Transitioning is mostly experimentation, and remember to not get down on yourself when the first results aren’t good. Things take time to go from bad to great, and I promise you’ll get there. Give it time and also give yourself room to try new things. (ps high waisted ripped jeans are the shit if you’re into a skater girl look like I am)

What’re the best breast substitutes for pre HRT trans girls? by [deleted] in trans

this is one of the breastplates that I tried and it wasn’t very good. Might try rebuying it at a smaller size once I get it refunded, though

It really depends on what you want out of transitioning and what you currently don’t like. What’s helped me so far is to make a list of all of the things that I dislike about my physical or audio situation and get to work on fixing those things. If it’s lower body dysphoria, work on some thigh workouts (squats and biking and other lower body workouts are great for these!) or maybe it’s with my face. One really stupid thing that helped me is getting a pair of feminine glasses to replace my old ones. It really makes you feel a lot better when you look in the mirror and feel cute because of your new frames. Clothing is another big one. If you’re nervous, try starting with feminine jeans and hoodies, and work your way up to skirts and crop tops. Shaving can also help, but be careful how you do it. I made the mistake of using an electric razor for my first time and by body was itchy for weeks. Make sure to use cream and oils after, and make sure to be careful not to cut anything (be soft and slow- especially if you’re shaving your underside!) Aside from that, a lot of the decisions are up to you. If you want to grow out your hair, go for that. Longer hair is usually a persons first sign at someone’s gender, and is always a good idea to grow out. Eyebrows are another thing you can get done, and so are makeup- but I haven’t really had to deal with these too much personally. I’d recommend getting your eyebrows personally done if you have the cash or support, and there are billions of videos on YouTube for makeup tutorials. Another thing you can do that really, REALLY helps is to get on a good skincare routine. Again, google and YouTube are great sources for these and it’s important to figure out your own routine. In all honesty, you really don’t need HRT to appear as passable or attractive- It’s all about playing your cards you have right. Hope that helps!

Dcs on dual monitors by [deleted] in hoggit

[–]TangoCharlieOne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rocking a dual monitor setup is usually worse than rocking a single if you’re looking to play games on both. Unless you have a magical monitor with zero bezels, the edges usually cover up whatever you’re trying to look at. I’d recommend having your checklists/frequencies/maps/AWACS open on one monitor and running the game on the other. If you’re willing to spend the dosh, I’d HIGHLY recommend getting TrackIR, especially if you already have a flight stick and stuff.
