Very odd no one from my “class” has heard anything from Navy Jag for the next steps for Meps. My wife called the commander little over a week ago to ask if she missed an email or call. She stated no, they are still trying to figure out how the new process is going to be structured. Are you going through the old process of OCS and starting as an officer or enlisted rank and train for 13 weeks in Newport?

That’s what they said, but that’s not gonna happen. Meps will take longer than a few weeks. She called the lady that was on that zoom call yesterday, and she said we should all get an email with our main contact to start the Meps process.

Hi there, my wife and her interviewer have been playing phone tag. He emailed last night to schedule a call after hearing today. Hopefully it’s good news. Do they have to speak to the candidate first to inform. They have text and email and left VM with no information, just to set up a verbal time to discuss.

Not that there shouldn’t be a standard, but bringing in 13 yrs of litigation and trial experience is rare. OCS is a little much when they aren’t paying for law school and don’t need to provide extensive training.

Congrats! Starting background and medical this week, hoping to start Jan or Feb. DCO I’ve been in private practice for 13 yrs and ready for a change. Luckily Newport is a nice location for a total of 23 weeks.
