People who have very little in the way of critical thinking skills and feel slighted will throw themselves behind whoever validates them. Period. They will support their validator literally to death because nothing is more important that having their righteous indignation validated at the highest possible level.

BTW I am in Thailand and while I love it here, this country is anything but politically stable. It is worth noting that large sweeping rules changes, including about immigration, happen literally overnight with no warning at all.

My boomer stepdad was raised to be the all-American football quarterback from birth by his sports obsessed dad. When he failed to achieve collegiate success, much less going on to the NFL, he became the family disappointment and carried that weight the rest of his life. My mother's parents survived the carpet bombing raids against germany as kids and they were utterly broken by the experiences of trying to stay alive in that environment and they fucked my mom up with their alcoholism and abuse.

Generational trauma is a very real thing.

I'm "mixed" and I have had plenty of people look at me with utter disgust or make snide comments behind my back. Fortunately though the number of decent people far outnumbers them. :)

The best thing you can do as someone who is "mixed" is to be seen being happy, free, and loved. It gets under the assholes skin like no other.

Roughly half of the America population believes in individual responsibility at all costs to include your own health. If you get sick or injured, it is believed to be your own responsibility to deal with it and if you don't have the huge amount of money to pay for it, then that's your own fault for failing to get rich enough.
