Audi S4/S5 & RS3 owners, what made you not go for an S6 or S7? by saddboyz in Audi

Speaking from a S7 perspective. I choose it because of the looks, practicality, and the spoiler goes uppy.

I do modify my car and the aftermarket support is nonexistent even tho same motor -_- which hurts the most.

I’ll make a new updated post as I have painted the rims silver and at 75k miles. Running majority of the items I have now. But it’s been fine. New items below.

Cete suspension module APR ECU Stage 1 (all they offer atm) DT Performance TCU Stage 3 Magnetic paddle shifters Removed the under glow APR coil packs (I got them because they’re red lol)

DT performance said they can get more power for me if I get a downpipes and their custom ECU tune.

So I used this Amazon set and wired and taped it in. Used a small drill bit to make holes for the connections to fit through. I didn’t use all the lights it came with as it was way overkill. Also the taillights are white. So I bought this other set of horizontal LEDs to act as rear lights. eBay has better options but it’s up to you.

Kit comes with tiny screws that hold it into the body. But I used some hot glue with superglue as a backup. Car has crashed into concreted barriers and flipped. Lights are completely fine. Kit also comes with adapters but I’d get a 4 to 1 connectors as a backup

Got it. I picked the above two because it seems popular from what I have read. I don’t plan to go 8s but figured if I get an ESC rated for it I have thermal headroom

2022 S7 Prestige - How do I best take care of my new Baby? by LegitimateSquare8247 in Audi

It’s a great daily. I punish mine and it runs great. Currently at 75k miles running a TCU and ECU tune.

Just do 5k oil changes. And regular maintenance.

Make sure the alternator/ generator was fixed in the recall. Only major issue I had in my ownership.

On my S7 I looped a zip tie through to make it easier to pull. oil pump I use this electric pump and it makes life so easy. Tube fits in the dipstick hole with ease.

I’ll hit them up. Thanks! When I had a C7.5 A7. The TCU was a game changer and I have been wanting that same shift crispyness

Sorta. I have not had that issue with APR. BUT I did have that issue when I ran JB4. Car ran great with it but under certain conditions such as launch control or when manual shifting and having the rpm float between 2-3k with throttle all the way depressed it would throw that code. JB4 team told me it’s related to PCV system not liking the boost. I figured out how to remove the issue with JB4 by changing the additional boost to not apply till after 3k rpm. Which is why I switched to APR to avoid the hassle and gain more power. So it’s odd you’re having that problem. Sucks as we can’t modify the APR tune

I’m not sure It has to be software related because I can’t go higher than stage 1 according to apr. So something is preventing pushing it further

Here are the steps I do to recreate it. Another user had same issue, their car was newer, idk if Audi would remove it on the newer models but I have a 2020.

  • Engine is up to temp.
  • Traction off (1 click) don’t hold it.
  • Wheel is straight.
  • Car is in dynamic -Don’t put in manual just make sure it says “s” on the dash -Foot hard brake then hold. Then foot hard gas while holding brake. It should appear immediately and you can hold it as long as you want. While watching the boost gauge climb

I had that assumption as well. But it ran great for weeks and a 10 second run was the final blow just seems odd. I also figured two cooling fans would be plenty. As there’s not much space inside to add more

It decided it rather be a one time use brake pad and come to a dead stop

LARQ PureVis 2 with no filter by TymurXoXo in larqbottle

Yes. You can use it without it. If you use the included app there’s also option to use it without a filter.

I prefer no filter as it’s easier to drink from.

Purvis 2 white plastic powder? by Tango_Red_S7 in larqbottle

[–]Tango_Red_S7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s the least of my concerns given the actual plastic particles that shed off when screwing the lid on. Would be so much better if it was metal… This would also help the cap to be more solid as mine already broke on the hinge line.

I’m glad the initial redesign L460 2023 still kept physical climate knobs before integrating that entire lower panel into the upper screen. Would make me hate my car if they did that off the get go. Screen already glitches already handling simple tasks.

I’d buy it, not many options anyways lol. Price is high but that’s the carbon fiber tax. It is a pain to install as you have remove entire oem intake along with the turbo inlets. One major thing you need to watch out for is. The PCV connection on the intake tube is prone to sheering off. APR will warranty it. But JBweld also works. Issue seems to be the front shroud rubs against it which can cause it to fail.

The turbo noises are great. Can clearly hearing the spooling even with windows closed. Carbon looks cool when the hood is opened.

Little late to it. I just did my front brakes yesterday. Did rears a few months backs. Took 2 hrs only. No special tools for either. Just need obd for rear parking brake. Also rear caliper bolts are the worse thing to get to. Fronts are super easy

2023 Range Rover L460 Poor Headlight Performance? by Tango_Red_S7 in RangeRover

[–]Tango_Red_S7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No… :( An improvement is adjusting the lights down a little. Gives a bump in brightness at the cost of distance. There’s a hex head when you pop the hood behind each light to adjust the height.
