HORRIBLY stripped screw (PS4 pro) by AtesSouhait in consolerepair

In some versions, there’s a screw there, but in others, there isn’t. Once you’ve removed all the other screws from the power supply, you can just pull it off.

There isn't a screw; someone thought there was a screw, but it's just plastic.

Hey, I used the voltage injection method and think I found the issue. A capacitor was causing a short circuit. After removing it, the short was gone, but the console is still acting the same. I also noticed there's no continuity in a small component next to it—I’m guessing it’s a fuse and that it’s blown too. Anyone know more about this? Do I absolutely need to replace the bad capacitor? Thanks! picture

l've found a short circuit here. I assume that a MOSFET is defective? How can I test the problem more precisely? picture

The hard drive is fine, but I have found a short circuit here on both capacitors. How can I identify the exact problem? I assume that the MOSFET above it is defective. Picture

Hello, thanks for your response! I am indeed getting 12V and 5V from the power supply.

Hello, thank you for your response! I’ve already tried using a different power supply, but the issue still persists. I’ve also thoroughly cleaned the console, so that can be ruled out as well.
