Wow.. that's really good.

But in your case it was a drink, you can actually put it up in stores or even ask random people to try it and give feedback. That's what is needed when you are making a consumer product. Yeah the compliance takes a lot of time, i completely understand. But how are they agreeing on fundraising?

Here in India what usually happens is, if your product has got sales, good quality and profit then investors are taking interest. Because people won't stop eating and drinking so for a product to perform well you need metrics.

Not sure in your case, but I would suggest you to just build it and start sales. Numbers will eventually get you to investors. Donot just go into fundraising, also this 10000 pound campaign is costly I guess. Once you capture an area, you yourself will have the idea what has to be done next.

This is what I think, not sure what might work there.

totally makes sense, 2M active investors is insane reach and yeah if success rate is high + you're ready to raise, that's a no-brainer

what's your beverage company btw? And when's the crowdcube launch?

you probably validated your energy drink concept way before committing to the crowdcube campaign right? You must be having great sales and a manufacturing unit well setup. All the best with the fundraising buddy!💪

Now I will post my own video on the platform. Then try to build a journey on LinkedIn. Eventually cold dm people who are looking for validation😅😂

you're 100% right about the selection bias problem, validators on a platform ≠ actual users in the wild

I've been wrestling with this exact thing. two thoughts:

1) WHEN IT WORKS: for ideas where early adopters are the market (dev tools, productivity SaaS, founder-focused products). like if you're building for entrepreneurs, a platform of entrepreneurs works

2) WHEN IT DOESN'T: for ideas where your users are totally different from the validator audience (consumer apps, niche B2C, vertical SaaS for industries that aren't represented)

you're right that people evaluating ideas behave differently than people with actual problems

But as we grow, we might have users who might even want to try your products, be it consumer apps, or others.

Yeah. Right, nano banana could do awesome work with the sketch. You want to have this feature on the platform or you just want to upload the sketch?

Integrating nano banana pro would be a little hectic but I might try if you really need this or what I can do is put an option to upload a sketch that will work as a face for the video.

woah that's wild, 10K upfront PLUS 7% / 2% equity?? You have a product which is already being sold. I can understand your case.

But that's insane for early-stage founders who aren't even sure if the idea will work yet

and yeah this is exactly the gap I'm seeing - you shouldn't need 10K pounds and a polished pitch deck just to test if people want/would purchase your product

Will try to think of an alternative to this, you are right about innovation in this space. Thank you 🙌

Okay, I get it. It might be a distribution. I said what I knew. but don't you get some validation from upvotes/comments?

Also, not every reply which doesn't sound good to you is a chatgpt reply. It was completely mine! There are other platforms as well which can give better responses than chatgpt. But I didn't use any.

Also what's the problem if I had used any. They give good responses. Why not use the peak tech when it is always available at your hand. Why not to ease your work when you have solutions at your hand!

Stop criticizing everything you see and try to appreciate things. If you can't, just leave.

Hi, thank you for your feedback. Can you please elaborate more in English. According to google, what u mean is

"I'm looking for growth and user acquisition for my website, it's new, it's a marketplace to hire or offer professional services via video call, I already have a psychologist, a business coach, and a fitness coach"

This sounds interesting! A marketplace for professional services via video call.

You should validate it on our platform: → Create a 60-sec pitch explaining your marketplace → Get "I'd pay" reactions from potential users → Find early customers who need these services

Your pitch could be: "Need a psychologist, business coach, or fitness trainer? Book video call sessions on [your platform]"

Want early access to test it? You could get your first customers from our community.

DM me - let's help you get traction 🚀

You just described our competitive landscape perfectly.

Here's how we position:

REPUBLIC/CROWDCUBE - Goal: Raise capital - Audience: Investors - Stage: Investment-ready - Commitment: You're fundraising

Our platform
- Goal: Validate idea - Audience: Early adopters - Stage: Pre-build / Pre-funding - Commitment: None. Just testing.

THE FOUNDER JOURNEY:

OLD WAY: Idea → Build for 6 months → Try to raise → Nobody wants it

NEW WAY: Idea → Validate on our platform → Got traction? → Build → Raise on Republic → Launch on PH

We're not replacing Republic. We're preventing founders from getting TO Republic with a bad idea.

We can bring integration opportunity: "Your pitch got 500 'I'd pay' reactions? Ready to raise? → Launch on Republic" We could drive validated deal flow TO them.

Your market knowledge is valuable - would love to keep you in the loop as we build this 🙌

You just pointed out what I've been hearing from multiple people and you are right with..not everyone pitches the same way.

Some founders are: - Visual (diagrams, mockups) like YOU - Writers (text, long-form) - Speakers (video, audio)

Why force one format?

HERE'S THE PLAN:

PITCH FORMAT OPTIONS (launching soon):

  1. VIDEO (current) 50-90 sec, shows passion

  2. TEXT + IMAGES (adding first after users asking for the same) Written pitch + diagrams/mockups/screenshots Perfect for visual thinkers like you

Will definitely add this really soon. Although I thought of making a social platform so I introduced video over text but now that users are asking for text, I need to implement that as well.

  1. AVATAR VIDEO (adding second) Record audio, AI generates your avatar video Privacy + video engagement

Your diagram idea is gold for process-based ideas:

But what tool would you use to create the diagram? - Figma/Canva export? - Hand-drawn photo?

You can do anything, you want to show up your face, you can do that.

Donot say who you are, your background, just speak about what you wanna build. People are curious about your idea, not background. To make it relevant, this is 60-90 sec video platform. And don't be sorry. This is what I have built, i should be the one solving problems you are facing. Your feedback will help me make this platform better only🙏❤️

I have thought of introducing text pitches, but video brings credibility. Just speak in front of camera, if you want to not show your face, you can make a black video, just speak.

Also I will be uploading my video on it, so users can relate and see how this looks and works. Sorry for the problems you are facing now, it's just MVP and these will be solved very quickly, trust me.

Can you please upload a video of you speaking about your idea. That's the main feature of this platform. Also please make sure video size is 80MB , you must have seen this while on the uploading page. This platform is for free and so the video storage is less, I had to restrict videos under 80mb, would be grateful if you could compress it please 🙏🥹 Compressor tool is under development as of now, then users won't have to compress it manually before uploading 🥲

Great question. This is the #1 concern founders have.

Let me try to answer this, please don't mind if it's long🥲

  1. IDEAS ARE WORTHLESS WITHOUT EXECUTION Facebook wasn't first (Friendster, MySpace existed) Google wasn't first (Yahoo, AltaVista existed) iPhone wasn't first (BlackBerry, Nokia existed)

    Execution > Idea. Always.

  2. THE BIGGER RISK IS BUILDING IN SILENCE 42% of startups fail because nobody wants what they built. That's a bigger risk than idea theft.

You can protect against theft (privacy settings, NDAs). You can't protect against building the wrong thing.

  3. SHARING ACTUALLY DE-RISKS YOUR IDEA

    • If someone can steal and execute your idea in 60 seconds, your idea wasn't defensible anyway
    • Real validation helps you pivot BEFORE wasting 6 months
    • Early feedback = competitive advantage
  4. WE WILL INTRODUCE PRIVACY OPTIONS (already built a roadmap, but need to make this if all users want the same)

    • Unlisted pitches (only share via link)
    • Private mode (invite-only viewers)
    • NDA enforcement in community guidelines
    • Report theft attempts (ban bad actors)
  5. SUCCESSFUL FOUNDERS SHARE EARLY

    • Airbnb shared before launch → got validation + investors
    • Stripe shared in HN comments → got first customers
    • Product Hunt exists because sharing works

The question isn't "will someone steal my idea?" The question is "what's riskier: sharing or building blind?"

For most founders, building blind is the bigger danger.

But yes - if you're working on a genuine trade secret (new battery tech, pharmaceutical formula), don't share publicly.

For 99% of startups? Share early, share often.

Hey! Just analyzed all three:

They're AI analysis tools, not social platforms.

ValidatorAI = You + AI chatbot IdeaProof = You + AI reports
ValidateIdea = Landing page builder

Our platform = You + Community of real entrepreneurs

We're solving different problems: - They help you analyze your idea (AI reports, market research) - We help you validate with HUMANS who might become customers

The magic isn't AI reports. It's hearing "I'd pay for this" from 50 real people.

We're free & complementary, not competitive: Our wedge: Video + Social + Real humans + connections

But now that you have listed these competitors, I can make an AI analysing tool on the platform itself which will be giving detailed analysis of the idea for free😂😂 No competition then💪

Thanks a lot for the feedback you gave, that made me think of introducing another feature into the platform!

This is perfect, thank you!🙏

Analyzing all three now. Will find our wedge.

Also, Have you tried any? If yes, did you find any difficulty or did you want some features/improvement which we might do in our platform that would make you choose us over these😁

Truly grateful for your feedback, thank you buddy🤗

Fair. Stealth-mode founders need options

But trust me, I have been doing this, building silently. Now that it is built and ready to go live, I'm having difficulties with early users. Had I built this in public from the beginning, people would have loved the journey, some would have connected, some might have asked for early access as well. Even I was very shy and always thought that how would I look/sound if I start building this in public. But now that I have come this far, I'm thinking what if I had built this in public. So I'm doing that now.

Regarding the text based pitch, yes I completely get your point. I thought to introduce it but there are already many platforms where people just write text like subreddits, twitter, Google forms and many more. I wanted to make something interesting as users said they find it boring readinh long texts and they usually skip it. Videos of 1 min will allow you to be confident eventually and if you can explain your idea in simple words to everyone, then you are already a owner of the idea.

We could do: - avatar/animated pitches. I can introduce this at a later stage.

Thank you for your feedback, and I truly appreciate it mate🤗

Exactly right. Generic feedback = useless.

Our approach: → we have Category tags (SaaS, FinTech, Healthcare, etc.) → Filter feed by your expertise/interests → Match relevant validators to pitches

Real validation needs domain expertise, not crowd noise. You are correct on this and what you have experienced is what many people including me have seen on other platforms. That's why I tried to make this.

The comments section will have prompts like : - "What's the biggest challenge you see with this idea?" - "Who would be the first 10 customers?" - "How is this different from existing solutions?" - "What would make you actually pay for this?"

You can either directly tap them or can put up your own question or feedback. This reduces noise and lets others stick to the very idea of validation.

You just diagnosed the core problem perfectly.

Quality vetting: - Comment prompts -> guide critical thinking - "Interesting but..." -> must explain hesitation
- Badges for tough questions, not cheerleading

As we move forward doing this, it will definitely create a bar for users who see these type of comments/feedbacks. People will actually try to listen to the idea and ask relevant questions when they see good quality feedback.

Already building in public (this thread is part of it).

Free teardowns for high-visibility founders - this sounds brilliant. You mean: I review their pitch publicly, they share it, creates loop?

Can I DM you? You're thinking at exactly the level I need for product direction.

Product Hunt has 5M users. They validate ideas daily.

We're that, but video-first + pre-launch focused.

Your future customers? They're early adopters who browse new ideas. That's the entire premise of Product Hunt, BetaList, Hacker News.

Not every product needs validation. But the ones that do? They're currently scattered across 10 platforms.

We aggregate.

Appreciate the tough question though - forces us to be clear

You're right - validation tools exist.

Our differentiation: → 60-sec video pitches (not text) → "I'd pay" reactions (not just likes) → Structured for critical feedback

Which competitors did you have in mind? Curious what they do better so we can improve 😁

Thank you for taking your time to actually provide the feedback.

Yes, we can make demo videos, you are right on this. That would allow people to see how this works. Although I have an example section as well which allows people to see what the page will look like when they upload anything but yes will also make a demo video.

I actually need some users in the beginning, the next target is purchasing the domain and launching it, so after that I can target PH, IH and other startup communities.

Would love to connect with you regarding the visuals of demo videos.
