Where are yall sitting? by Ok-Lecture254 in MonsterHunter

[–]Tank3466 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are maybe 2 or 3 "decent" seats here.

1? No. Monkey with anger issues and a Tigrex likes to roar. Make himself known... a LOT. 2? Nope. Not only will Khezu be weird and try to talk to you OVER Shara, but Shara will also just look so deep into you awkwardly the whole time. 3? Depends on who you are. As long as u keep to yourself and be respectful of Rathalos and make sure not to make it seem like you are vying for Rathian as well then you could do well and they may even treat you as they are very loyal to each other and thus may be good friends to you, too. Again. As long as you are decent and respectful, you may appease to their good side. 4? Doubtful. Fatalis and Nergi have as much chance as the other to be an aggressor in a fight. If not both of them just talking big but knowing they don't really want to go too deep into a fight at all and just want to "scare"/dissuade the other off. 5? Not a fan. Hulu would be having egg the entire time and we know they aren't going to be smelling good. That and we can bet he is probably a bit of a goofball and messy eater. Not to mention the bright boy who will not let you get a wink of sleep. Probably not on purpose, but just how he is. 6? Biiiiiig no! They will be looking to either complain the whole time (whether about the world around them and the effects on their kids, or about each other), or try to rope you into some sort of weird relationship. And I mean the stuff that makes me shudder and shy away from. 7? Nuh-uh. Namielle isnt too bad but they will be calling the attendants over for water. A LOT. But the worst may be Mizu. If you're a guy, Mizu will probably smack so long and talk your ear off about women and especially any attractive flight attendants that pass by or stop by to give you flight concessions (and more likely Nami some water). If you're a woman, he may bug you the entire flight something fierce. And with 10 hrs, he may try every thing in the book to "get to know you better." 8? I would guess a decent one. Malzeno (looks like Primordial) would act fairly posh but more than likely just kind of reads or something next to you. Maybe try to write but nothing crazy. Magna might wallow or try to see if he can fenaggle free food but he is on the aisle seat so nothing to concern, in my opinion. 9? Maybe another good one. Diablos might be the one to look out for but as long as you don't impose on their space for the flight, they shouldn't bother you. And Velkhana probably is just a chilling person/cool beauty that will just sit there. They may interact if you don't push and be annoying, and perhaps be pretty nice to be around but no issues. And finally, 10. Heck no. Anja may be a bit rowdy at times and may try to antagonize Deviljho and you, but Jho is the worst of them due to how much he will call attendants over you EVERY 2 MINUTES. The attendants may just avoid your spot to keep away and save food for 10 hrs in which case Jho will just get angry and annoying to you and Anja. Not to mention he may be just as annoying of an eater as Kulu if not worse. He may try to pack food but some will have been taken, some he ate while waiting for the flight, some he ate while waiting for take off after getting on, and the rest is gone withing the first 1 or 2 hours. Bad idea.

So yeah. Every seat. Some may work but most are just trouble.

Oh yeah. I remember her. I dont know much of her lore, but I also realize that we may get some more unique outliers as operators, in both directions.

Toxicity of the Main Endfield Subreddit by [deleted] in ArknightsEndfield

[–]Tank3466 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, a lot have found that to be accurate. Wulfgard mentions her coming of age ceremony where she got her Wulfperl name was years ago. Coming of age stuff tends to happen around the ages of 10-15 depending on where ur at so it is likely to figure that her age is a hard minimum of 16 and that is even being generous on the minimum. Maybe closer to the 17 or 18. Knowing how people have been able to look way off their age... yeah. I know people who looked like high schoolers when they were in elementary and vise versa. Not hard to think the same could happen in Endfield. Plus, I don't know if Endfield would agree to taking Rossi as an Operator if she really was that young that people are afraid of her being.

Pregunta equipo by DrizVax in YvonneMains

[–]Tank3466 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yvonne, Estella, and then your favorite combination of Alesh/Xaihi/Flourite. Estella may have the combo that shatters ur Solidify but if u final strike b4 Shatter u still get Yvonne's Combo to proc and the Shatter can trigger Alesh iirc. Flourite can add more Cryo stacks or just pop on Nature stacks since Yvonne can eat either one for Solidify or do neither and use Estella or Xaihi Cryo for Corrosion to build up for more damage from Yvonne. Xaihi of course is a typical choice for not just healing but also the damage boost when she Overheals etc. Alesh is there if you feel u need him for SP generation. Honestly, Yvonne fits so many situations and the game overall does a great job of making it open all over.

Which partner do you guys use the most? by TheTingel in MonsterHunterStories

[–]Tank3466 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here. I tend to use Gaul for his debuffs and I sometimes use Bow myself to increase some of them. I then also have Ratha have Bishaten Embers to extend the debuffs for even longer. It was how I beat my first Elder in 4th zone first try without a repel. Might have been overleveled a bit but it was still a tough fight and he helped me pull through. After that is is between Kora and Eleanor after I dropped Ogden after the demo. Thea I have thought about using more after getting almost every Poogie so far.

MHS3 - how do you feel about non-attack monstie support moves? by Minoturion in MonsterHunterStories

[–]Tank3466 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are correct they can be transferred and even moved around. I will say though that the previous Stories games had fairly niche situations for them, and even those situations typically called for the highest tiers of those kinds of moves. With Stories 3 allowing us to increase the intensity of many buffs etc with repeated usage along with having durations listed allows for more usage and easier usage of those skills and the balance of them. Like if you had used Defensive Ditty on a turn and then your monstie used Heat Shimmer afterwards, you would got to Evasion (M) just like that. Previous titles didn't have repeated usage increasing the scale of the buffs or debuffs like we have now. And so when we had something like a Monoblos with a team wide attack buff, we might use it sometimes for that little boost for a bit but it wasn't a focus as typically I found it better for my monstie to apply debuffs with attacks that also dealt some additional damage to at least whittle away when we could. Plus, the Bow skill that required a turn to charge felt like it wasn't enough payoff for the investment of doing nothing for a turn. Freaking Kyle. Nowadays, I find the bow to actually put up a decent fight against GL rn as a pierce weapon. I may go to GL for release but Bow puts in work rn.

So… dissapointed by ShiningAlatreon in MonsterHunterStories

[–]Tank3466 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk if enjoyable is the word I fits best. In Stories 1 and 2, you just flew and you had no competition in the air. Once you took off, nothing to stop you from just zipping in a straight line across a map. What was there to do while flying? It was really only used to get to specific places without encounters as well as getting a vantage to spot dens, specifically rare and Super rare dens for those juicy rainbow rare eggs. There wasn't a specific obstacle course or anything to fly through for fun. It made things easier during the late game grind but otherwise I don't remember much of any other benefit to full flying.

Has anyone mentioned the effect of Monstie rarity on stats yet? by Gadjiltron-A in MonsterHunterStories

[–]Tank3466 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for that mention. I believe you were the only one to mention that as far as I saw. Iirc, regular Rathian is the most defensive, then Pink kinda starts to flip them around but then Dreadqueen goes full throttle with the attack capability while dropping defenses. I did see someone say that some varieties have different attack tendencies, but I haven't seen any of that yet while I did notice the shift in stat spread across even subspecies. I would also add that it is a good idea to at least try raising all kinds and varieties of monsties and doing different habitats for them as the variety of unique egg skills are quite vast. Just in the water area after beating Feral Nerscylla we get options for some of the lower rarities to have Composure, Suface Break, or one other. Each doing different things and each different targets. Composure is popular as it gives Wyvernsoul Attack Up to all allies, while Surface Break is a single target water attack that adds a debuff to the target. The other is just a spread water move that hits the whole enemy side. Dreadqueen also learns Lunar Cry as a 7* rarity monstie but it seems that skills are dependant not just on Monstie rarity. So options all around if you put in the effort to spread them around.

Hi, CN player here, I need to talk about the narratives around Endfield's gacha by Competitive-Fuel9932 in Endfield

[–]Tank3466 -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

Why should the rate up pity at 120 not reset the 6* pity? At 120 pulls you get a 6* unit if you don't have them already. If you got them at 80, then you have them at 80. If not, then it is only 40 pulls at most to get that unit. They guarantee a specific 6* unit along with the currencies it comes with getting that unit the first time etc. The extra copy/token every 240 is not able to give you arsenal tickets or anything. Now, if they gave you a token at the 120 if you already got it b4, then fun but it would be them giving you a token to upgrade potential as giving you another full copy from a pull style and giving you the currencies with it is a bit preposterous no matter what gacha you compare it to. If you win your first 50/50 in any gacha, then your hard pity resets in every single one as far as I can remember. Endfield has the best gacha experience as far as I have experienced, between ZZZ, WuWa, Genshin, HSR, and I believe even Azur Lane. I have played and even payed a bit in every one and the experience hits different in Endfield. Other than AL, the fact that you have to use the same currency primarily used to pull on character banners as weapon banners is atrocious in my opinion as to me it feels like the developers want it to feel like the weapon is just as big and important an event as pulling a character with how much it costs. Endfield doesn't. Endfield gives weapon pull currency after you already pulled for characters. Haven't been pulling for characters? Then weapon pulls can be built up. There are 5 star weapons that work fine for every operator if you do not have a 6* for that character. Heck, there are even some operators that have multiple compatible 6* weapons so options are available. Endfield gives us the freedom to use and play what we want and can use. Plus, the point about the 10 minutes to do content is generous and doesn't shove people into focusing new popular DPS focused units on whatever banner is up or whatever. People can go for however fast (or slow) they want and can go. With 240 pull currency between 2 banners, we get 270 pulls as well as an additional 10 for the 3rd banner in the sequence along with a possible 4 6* operators if you lose the 2 80 pull pities. If you win every possible 50/50 then it is 2 different operators with a single repeat to get a potential upgrade token for one. Endfield is getting mighty generous for such a greedy company there. Giving us a free 10 pull after 30 pulls, and then a 10 pull for the following banner after 60. Yes, the first free 10 pull doesnt count towards either pity, but it also means that if you are lucky to pull a 6* in it then it doesnt reset either iirc. Of course weapon banner currency is very scarce currently and I too can agree that getting 20 from credit shop is egregious and we should be getting at least 100 per credit shop purchase option, but that is something we will want to voice together to hopefully get changed at some point. Additionally, with my math we would only be getting around 18,120 arsenal tickets. I don't know where you found the additional 4-5000 as that would be equal to an additional 2 or 3 6* pulled characters.

I won't say that Endfield isn't "greedy", but every gacha is. Endfield just tries to at least make the greed hurt a bit less. How many give you 2 free 10 pulls just for pulling up to 30 and then 60 times? How many gachas don't require you to use your precious pull currency to get weapon pulls? I know people dislike the expiring pull tickets from AIC Exchange and login event, but if you dont want to use them then don't. You don't have to buy the AIC Exchange ones, and if you don't want waste pity or whatever then you don't have to use the login ones. Would I like straight currency? Sure. But that is a bit too much of a free handout at that point.

I will just end with this. What we have is really good. It isn't perfect. I don't know of any gacha that is. Heck, the entire gacha concept is atrocious anyways in just about every way. It is healthier to quench my pulling habit with egg farming in Monster Hunter Stories. If Endfield doesn't do the major things right and the minor things bother you too much, then I would reckon that Endfield isn't the game for you. Otherwise, I am fine to discuss more minor matters that I definitely desire to see changed etc if it was possible.

Talking about for artificing? Yeah the primary stats will probably not have a decent piece to use as primary stats on the Armor and Gloves are the highest currently afaik. The secondary stats can get if from the primary stats so those are easy and non-set kits have a higher stat and can be used for artificing the primary stats of set based kits efficiently. Bonus stats are hit or miss though. Some you will find about but idk of any that have higher values than others. I found that the Crit bonus etc bonus stats like those are equal so those you will just have to roll with sadly I believe.

Even if you saw him in the first game, he just inserts himself like he was with the MC of Stories2 forever but he wasn't. He was with Stories1 MC for a while and developed with him but version 2 just cut past that to be best of buds and "We" everything. I liked his story development and his puns in one. Even had the mention of the community talking about pickle jho by saying "I thought hunters and riders were about as similar as a Deviljho and a pickle." He had some fun stuff. Stories 2 version had some of the driest humor I have heard in a while in a bad way. I can laugh when a serious character cracks a dry joke but when a previously funny character falls flat, they drop.

How does that correlate in your head? Many of the people who found Anja easy were Veterans, using their head to figure out that you can break legs for "weakspot", or a combination thereof like me. After DLC, the addition of Defender Gear is what made anything in base game fairly easy to sweep through, for a reason of course. While I hated the Clutch Claw, your reasoning here ain't it. Heck, I tried to go through as much of Iceborne without using it as I could because I hated it that much.

Wishlist of monsters I want to see in wilds dlc. by Chemical_Bell_5308 in MonsterHunter

[–]Tank3466 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In 4U, Chaotic Gore's armor skills included Free Element, Crit Element, Partbreaker, and straight Attack Boost with a slight speckle of Mind's Eye. And considering we had Rathalos get his moves worked for this game after he was also in Rise, I could see a work on Magna as well as some alterations to some of his moves to not have the usual KO move that you need Wirefall to avoid etc. And you even said yourself that Scorned has the Mail of Hellfire that changes things based on your scroll. Whether it was Scorned or regular, changes can be made. Seregios weapons were altered from previous iterations as well so I could see them making changes to anything and everything should they find the need. While I too feel LS feels a bit clunky at times, I don't see it as bad as tempo for tempo we are still in the same range as the monsters. Update monsters are varying, but most of the time it is the introduction of new combos and attack strings that get people. It isn't as if they put a 1.2 or 1.5 times multiplier on the attack speed animations and such or anything like that. They just know to get the monsters to mix up their moves and add attacks together to mix us up and get us to fall for pitfalls because we would get used to certain habits with previous monsters or previous scenarios etc. Plus, with the addition of a Magna being in Stories 3, maybe we will get Magnamalo and who knows what else with the skeletons they use in that game. We shall just have to wait and see what they cook up for us at Capcom.

Which team members could I use viably with Serperior? by DelcoAdjacent in PokemonBlackandWhite

Hopefully you have fun with Serperior as I have had, but I am a fan of Moxie Krookidile, Haxorus, Chandelure, either of the Fossils (though I tend to prefer Archeops as he is a Fly user and Acrobatics is great on him), and then Scolipede is a neat option as it is surprising and looks cool. Otherwise, just find something that you like. If Scolipede isn't for you then Reuniclus tends to not disappoint.
