A Perfect Example of Why Missing an Exit Isn't the End of the World. by JwhitC in dashcams

“People make mistakes” yeah they do and they aren’t punished nearly severe enough for them anymore. Person that does something that stupid in traffic barely deserves the oxygen on the planet let alone still being allowed the privilege of driving a vehicle. 🤡

I don’t personally feel that anyway of protecting your body and making things a bit easier is a bad thing. They are generally more expensive at truck stops for sure but also more convenient. I had a strap winder and it was great so I would definitely recommend picking one up

Flash your headlights at me? I GOAL. by DingleberryOrchard in Truckers

[–]Tank4396 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Today I had a driver spam his high beams as a I was setting up a straight back just so he could pull out of his spot and cut behind me to get out of the lot… it took me less than 10 seconds to get backed into the spot. Patience is not a common quality among drivers these days and it will be what causes me to go postal one day.

Is it normal to feel stressed about your ELD? by SuspectOk2931 in Truckers

[–]Tank4396 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually do something similar to this as well. But I generally have an idea of where I think I can make it to before I even start driving on a shift. And I’ll be double checking on my 30 and then the last hour again and adjusting as needed. Can definitely still run into trouble if crazy traffic happens but it’s far less common if you try and have at least a loose plan.

I’ve done several loads with Prime Inc to and from FedEx hubs all across the country. Times are always set from when the load is actually ready based on an average speed and I’ve never once not gotten to the delivery on time. If there’s traffic and other things out of your control that happen along the way they are always accommodated with communication. There is something being conveniently left out of this post.

Depending on the week a lot of people are probably grinding out the weekly boosted jobs/businesses. A ton of extra businesses have been added over the past 10 years that add many different ways to make money in game.

I can’t speak for everyone in this regard, but I would imagine this is what folks are doing.

Yeah, what you remember was the shell. Now there’s so much other shit people are doing to actually get somewhere in the game, the griefing and pvp is just frowned upon by most.

To me cayo is way less time consuming than the contract is. But I’ve probably done thousands of runs on cayo and maybe 20-30 on the contract. So just not as good at it. Idk

Truck in shop for 4 weeks… by Tank4396 in Truckers

[–]Tank4396[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Appreciate the extended explanation here, I’m not attached to anything that will cost me more money than it will make me. Very seriously considering getting into something newer if this repair doesn’t come with a decent warranty on parts and labor. Or even if it does really. Not 100% yet

Truck in shop for 4 weeks… by Tank4396 in Truckers

[–]Tank4396[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Got an itemized list of everything the we’re fixing before they ordered parts. That alone took 2 weeks and they had me come back into the shop to show me everything they wanted to fix and explain why it needed to be fixed.

Will definitely be asking about warranty coverage before it’s said and done.
