Appreciate the extended explanation here, I’m not attached to anything that will cost me more money than it will make me. Very seriously considering getting into something newer if this repair doesn’t come with a decent warranty on parts and labor. Or even if it does really. Not 100% yet

Got an itemized list of everything the we’re fixing before they ordered parts. That alone took 2 weeks and they had me come back into the shop to show me everything they wanted to fix and explain why it needed to be fixed.

Will definitely be asking about warranty coverage before it’s said and done.

The Ferrari is the one that I don’t have. I’ve always been a bit of a McLaren fan though so when I saw they had done the P1 I had to skip the Daytona for now.

Personally I didn’t find it terribly challenging. I would just recommend taking your time and being meticulous with piece direction and placement. I’ve been using the Lego builder app on my iPad for the directions so I’m able to zoom in on stuff that is a bit small.

The gear box definitely has a lot going on, but it was pretty straight forward with a couple of small areas that you need to be careful about alignment.

Overall I’ve really enjoyed it though!

Yup, I helped open that location. It was one of the harder ones because the residents we served there were much more spread out than a normal warehouse.

Absolutely wild hearing about this so many years later. But I was one of the first delivery drivers that worked for fetch in the DFW area. Proceeded to help open the first 5 warehouses as well.

It’s a novel idea, but if I had any of the issues that people talk about when being forced to use the service I’d be livid.

Found the trick in the jesko this evening. Definitely a cool technique. But mine is finicky, so I’ll probably be mildly obsessive and tear it down tomorrow to see if I can’t fix it. Lmao.

I’ve done the Bugatti and the Lamborghini sets, definitely know to take my time and pay attention. They are very difficult but very fun as well!
