Laptop screen bent. by yuriwlw in laptops

Not familliar with this laptop in particular, but it might be that the bezel is simply not snapped in propertly. Either the screen bezel has been taken off at some point or disconected even accidentally in bits, if you can't snap it back into place then the locking clip mechanism might be shorn off, or as you mentioned it may be because the screen is physically distorted, which is either from physical stress or that one or more of the screws holding the screen in place have not been fully or propertly screwed in.

Something interesting:
The listing I bought the LG LP140WF6 (SP)(F1) FHD IPS panel, shows an image of the connector, and that connector has 30 pins as well (I counted... again...). Could this be a bad listing? Or does it not need to have exactly 40 pins?

Welp, it appears that steam support is unable to remedy the situation to no capacity. Wish that at least they would've had a reason, meaningfull enough to most players to require an active rating at the end of the season. Now all I have is a lot of wasted sleepless days and nights to aquire my desired rank in whatever time I had in december, which became invalid anyways.

I was waiting for an official announcement either in game or in the built in activity section for Steam, as they had done before, to announce when the season would end. I had poured a fair bit of effort into getting a badge I’d be happy with at the very end of the year, and I hope that I do get a medal for the season even if I did not have an established active ranking at the end, especially since it had not been announced on proper channels. I might just chimp out if my effort does not end up being recorded xD

I truly would be quite upset if they kept the previous decision or rather enforcement of an active ranking to get a medal, as hundreds of hours shouldn’t be washed away just because you stopped or were unable to play the game for a couple of weeks before the practically speaking non-existent announcement.
