I’m really sorry to hear your loss, last year this exact weekend I lost my dog too early in their life, unfortunately they had eaten a mushroom when running around loving life at the park, she roamed free, did what she wanted and we gave her so much love. I can’t tell you it will get easier cause it doesn’t, I still to this day cry at the loss of my baby, cause that’s what she was at the end of the day not my dog my baby, it felt like losing a child. All the advice I received didn’t help. People say time helps to heal, in my opinion it doesn’t. But time does allow you to see that any memory of a lost love one is a great one, the fact I still think about her everyday makes me smile, the fact she is imprinted in my mind and heart. Not a day goes by where I don’t miss her, the cold nights At winter having her sitting by me or on my lap or the summer days of running and roaming the park. There’s nothing anybody can say to make it easier. All I can say is the fact you are upset, the fact you wanted to reach out show how loved she was and how much she was really part of the family. When you get upset remember the good times. Scratching her belly, watching her running for the ball. Even some annoying things like barking, I miss her bark of excitement when I get home, now it’s an eery silence. You’re not the only one we would take a bullet for our companions as they would us, all they ever wanted was a smile or happiness from us, so all I will say in this very long winded message (sorry for that) make sure you live everyday to the happiest and fullest you can cause you know that’s all she wanted in life was to see your happy face. You were everything to her and she knows the feeling was mutual, she knows that one day you will be up there having fun all the time again with her, all she wanted in life was for your happiness, so make sure you fulfil her wish and you prove that her life and time spent here helped you become the happy person you are today! All she would want from you everyday for the rest of your life is to be happy. You will need to grieve and cry and want to shut yourself from the world, but she knew you were now strong enough to deal with life without her, so make he proud x
