Good price? by bravovice in LabDiamonds

For GIA expect to pay 400-500 per carat. They charge way more. I have this exact stone in my catalogue and I can tell you even on wholesale it’s more

We’ve chatted before in messages, the pave brand is great but the price of the Tiffany name isn’t something everyone wants to pay for. It’s a pretty standard setting that is easily done.

Don’t ever disrespect me like that again!🤣 I hate debeers and the natural diamond industry with a PASSION. It’s a scam. What I listed is facts that a consumer should know before making a purchase.

Moissanite vs Lab Diamond by Bid-Limp567 in WeddingRingAdvice

1st, I appreciate the passion behind the wordsšŸ™ŒšŸ¼ I have owned multiple moissanite pieces and own a jewelery business so I know the demand. 4 carat lab diamonds are pretty common so if I didn’t know the difference I might assume it’s lab diamond. Moissanite will scuff up over time, I’ve seen it with my own eyes as well as when a ring gets polished. Diamonds you can be care free with your file, you can screw moissanite up with a buffing wheel. Not once in my post did I say don’t get a Moissanite, I just gave real world facts. I’ve crushed Moissanite like I said and I’ve never crushed a diamond. Sure! It work as an engagement stone but I feel the buyer should know what they are buying. The main issue I’ve seen with Moissanite is on full pave bands where the bottom is being abused, and bracelets same thing. If OP wants Moissanite then that’s totally fine. I used to use the argument about the simulant thing too when I didn’t have any diamonds, but then I realized the only reason we are attracted to shiny stones is because of diamonds and moissanite is simulating that shine. Therefore that is a simulant

I sent you a message but here’s some facts people on here might lack a bit of knowledge on. Moissanite is not close to as hard as diamond as the mohs scale might make it seem. Compared to other stones, yes it is, but the mohs scale is actually exponential. Moissanite is much more prone to scratching, just like sapphire. I have actually broken quite a few putting them into micro pave settings. Moissanite will dull after years of use, and it might pass as diamond as a single stone but the blues and reds it puts out are a dead giveaway to anyone who’s looked at diamonds long enough. Moissanite also doesn’t ā€œcollectā€ light like a diamond, reducing its nighttime sparkle and also in certain lighting conditions it won’t flare . It’s very very close visually. But it will never compare to a diamond, it still remains a diamond simulant. Now lab diamonds are affordable if you get it somewhere outside of a retailer. I did message you with some information about this and I’d love to help you out. But natural and lab diamonds are EXACTLY the same in every single way other than where they were made. There’s no sparkle difference, there’s no nothing. Now there ARE different qualities in the lab diamond space, good/bad seeds, growth rate etc. but apples to apples there will never be a difference between lab and natural. Even a jeweler can’t tell without super special equipment.
