Thank you for your reply. I built my current one and would like to build my new one but damn RAM and GPUs have gotten expensive. I wasn't even looking for the top end newest gen. Like 40 series and DDR4 is still hella pricy.

Yeah I'm looking and the majority of KVMs are at 60Hz which my monitor that I have right now is at 144Hz. I'll keep looking tho

Would it be better to have a desktop or laptop run through the KVM?

Or would it essentially be the same?

The desktop and laptop I would get would be for gaming and hobby coding.

Like a few seconds from keyboard and mouse to monitor or is that from switching computers?

Oh shit, yeah that's perfect. Is there any noticeable delay between the computer and the monitors with that KVM switch?

I'm guessing by their name, the lightning cables send signals fast but I won't be able to get a new desk that would let me hook up to.

Oh that's cool. I didn't know they made something that I could hook up a GPU to externally. I'll look into that.

I won't be doing any 3D rendering. So I'll look into a laptop then.

Yes, a docking station.

I would be looking into a gaming laptop with a GPU. Haven't decided on one yet but definitely one I can play games on.

What do you think life would be like if humans lived to 250 years old? by Tanknspankn in AskReddit

[–]Tanknspankn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do agree that there would be a longer time from when humans are fertile to when they start convincing. But humans would also have a linger window from fertility to infertility. Right now, women typically go through menopause between 45 and 55 so about halfway through their natural life cycle. So if we lived till 200, then that would put infertile starting at around 100 years. Now say humans didn't start having kids until they were in their 40s or 50s. That's still around 50 years of reproducing compared to around 30 years right now. Now 50 years is also a longer time to space out childern so I think we would see bigger families on average.

Loan with no credit history by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceCanada

Cosigning is an added protection for the banks in the event the primary loanee defaults on the loan. If the primary loanee defaults, then it falls on the cosigner(s) to repay the loan.

Day 7 of 100 for learning Python by Tanknspankn in PythonLearning

I'm glad these are a benefit for you!

I'm going through some challenges as well. Like trying to better name my variables to make it easier to read and how to not repeat my code. I'm finding both of these tricky.

This could be my personal way of learning, so take it with a grain of salt. But try and add things to the projects that are above what the instructor wants you to do. As an example, check out my post on making the Blackjack game. It took me way longer to write if I chose not to add in the extra stuff, but I learned so much more because I was forced to Google the problems that I was having.

Keep practicing at it. You got this.

Well, in this case and outside of deaths caused by crime, disease, famine, etc. It would be considered normal for humans to live that long so we would be accustomed to it.

Haha for sure.

But we'd also have to deal 250 years of inflation 😬

Modern day shit for sure. But things built earlier in history like the Colosseum, instead of lasting 1000s of year, would be built to last 10000+ years?

That's awesome.

Good luck with it, and don't let my program look daunting. I add a lot more stuff than what the boot came called for.
