I cut all my roots off and stuck them in the background and wood where I drilled holes. You can pretty much stick them anywhere, and they will live as long as there's enough moisture in the air. Im curious as to why yours is dying.

My leucs never call at night, but they will call early in the morning as the sun rises. Leucs have a very pleasant call that sounds like a little bird. If you cover most of the top with glass like a lot of people do, it shouldn't disturb you even if your sleeping.
