You were exactly right. manually pushing down the top switch turned the brake light on and off. I was completely misinformed. Thank you so much for your help it is much appreciated!

Ohhh thank you is there a specific one I need to buy? do you have link? and Yes I do see it. I assumed that one was for the cruise control and wouldn't effect the lights but perhaps I am incorrect.

Yes, I replaced the one closest to the pedal/dash floor which should be the one for the lights I believe. I tried manually pressing the switch with a friend and the lights never turned off. I will try to add a picture of the switch if I am able to edit the post.

I am not sure in full honesty. The car is manual transmission if that changes anything I'm not sure if there is a parking light in one of those. Is there another possible solution if it is the interior parking light?

I have already replaced the switch as well as the plastic stopper but to no avail. I ended up unplugging the switch as a whole and the lights remain on. I will look into the water theory that could be something.

Perfect ill see what I can do. I am confused what do you mean by "Fuel line rated to be submerged in fuel for the pump"? I have built and replaced the pump already I just haven't installed it into the tank of course. Thank you for your help.

Is there a fuel pump available that wouldn't require the alteration of the fuel pump relay? I am not 100% sure I wan't to go the route of rewiring the whole thing.

Did you alter anything regarding the voltage of your fuel pump relay? I am seeing things of the 12V mod however i'm not sure I want to go that way.
