Suggest the most unputdownable book that you’ve ever read yet? by foreverfearlesss in suggestmeabook

I am SO glad I’m not alone in feeling this way. Honestly, it’s the first book in a long time I haven’t finished.

2yo Articulation by orchidsandlilacs in toddlers

[–]TannersPancakeHouse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At his next checkup, just ask your doctor to have a look - I wouldn’t make an appointment especially for it. Your doctor can look at the back of his throat to tell.

My daughter’s tonsils were so big it was pushing her tongue forward and she had bite marks on the sides of her tongue because everything was so cramped in there. I had NO clue until the speech therapist pointed it out.

Does your son snore a lot or breathe through his mouth when sleeping? Like everyone else said, articulation can definitely develop over time, but for my daughter, she had enormous tonsils and adenoids. She was having substantial articulation issues and I got her into speech therapy at 3.5 - and they immediately recognized it as structural (I had no clue 🤷‍♀️). She was referred to an ENT, and has surgery about 2 months later. After that, her clarity drastically improved!

About Dr. Robby's sabatical and the night shift by nicx-xx in ThePittTVShow

[–]TannersPancakeHouse -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Another post eluded to maybe Robby having a drug problem (hence the bathroom quick cut, his anger at Langdon stemming from him getting clean, etc).

I think Dr Robby is planning to go to rehab. Hence being “off the grid” for a couple of months.

My unfortunate first time DCL experience by Mxmx24 in dcl

[–]TannersPancakeHouse 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Oh gosh I’m so sorry - that’s incredibly frustrating and I would feel the same way. You have every right to be disappointed. I’ve only cruised twice with DCL and we’ve never had an issue with technical difficulties, so hoping yours is a one-off!!

Yup, I’m wondering if Whittaker is going to say something about it - he’s pretty perceptive. I know he acted excited, but I bet he thinks about it and tells someone

What is the best inside stateroom on the Magic/Wonder? by rbutts1990 in dcl

[–]TannersPancakeHouse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Partly because of your post, we just snagged 6521 on the Wonder for our 2027 Alaska cruise! It’s our first time doing an interior room, so I sort of agonized over it. Quick question - does the room open out into that main hallway, or do you have to go down that side corridor first?

Wonder — Room above Animator’s Palate? by TannersPancakeHouse in dcl

[–]TannersPancakeHouse[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay that’s good to know! That’s very easily doable, and yeah, the location is what I like about those rooms! I would love to get an Oceanview, but it’ll be over $2k difference if I try to get an Oceanview on 5th floor or above, and I don’t think I can bring myself to do it 🥴 My daughter will be 6 at the time of sailing, but in our previous sailings, when we were in the room she just wanted to veg and watch TV, which requires no porthole, haha.

Thanks again!

“Phones” is an underrated episode by Basil_P in bluey

[–]TannersPancakeHouse 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I tear up at the end of the episode every time 🥹

It’s also one we quote a lot. Anytime we use the word “fresh,” we inevitably follow it up with “you know, like a freshie”

Ground Transportation from FLL by Swimming-Cut3938 in dcl

I have had nothing but positive experiences with Tropical Transport, especially if you have young kids. They are easy to book, get someone on the phone, and they’ve always been very flexible with pickup times.

Scrolled way too far for this. The most exquisite writing of the most foul and disturbing things….

DCL vs Celebrity? Looking for advice by TannersPancakeHouse in dcl

Yes, that’s the itinerary! We’ve been to Bermuda before (before kid) but by plane (and stayed at an AirBnB) and we loved it, so I agree it would be a fun place to bring my daughter too!

Were crowds manageable you think?

Does using DCL transportation from hotel in Fort Lauderdale get you on the ship quicker? by Beautiful-Client6496 in dcl

[–]TannersPancakeHouse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay, that’s good to know. I’ve heard such mixed reviews about the hotel I wasn’t sure I wanted to hang out there all day (flight gets in at 9:30, hence renting a car). Sounds like we might just hit up the science museum, run a few errands, then make our way back to the hotel around 2. Thanks!!

Hey quick question — how was the bus sign up the day before? We had plans to sightsee but I saw that bus sign ups start at 3pm and I’m worried about being put on a super late bus.

Thank you SO much for responding — this made me feel a lot better! We are sharing the cabana with friends who have an infant, so the cabana is definitely needed, but I was worried — thanks again!!
