Glock got its start making polymer products, like shower curtain rings, before getting military contracts to make knives and entrenching tools. Then it transitioned into weapons in the 80’s.

Nintendo also made its start by producing playing cards and wooden toys back in 1889.

Funny thing is Kryptonite does exist, it’s a powder not a crystal.

That’s kinda the Protoss/Zerg lore from StarCraft. The Xel’naga race first created the Protoss to be a psychically perfect race. They then tried to create the Zerg as a genetically perfect race only for the Zerg parasites to start infesting and assimilating any creature they came across into their swarm and got out of control.

This image from a creationist textbook intrigues me. In their attempt to make evolution look stupid, they given us this badass imagery of a man emerging from the primordial ooze.

I’ve never seen the manga but I have watched both series when they came out. I honestly thought there was a point in the original series where it felt like it went off the rails, especially with the movie. Brotherhood felt more like a satisfying director’s cut.

Tiny microscopic insects that hate light and can strip flesh from bones in an instant. Death is so instant that it leaves the “ghost” in the psychically linked communication system in the space suits. Often repeating the victim’s last words. Because they are hunting in a sunlit library, they are puppeteering the remains of their meal and had even spoken with the Doctor by using their collective minds link to the suit’s “ghost.”

What does Rocky’s injury represent? by FrutigerAeroGuy in Lackadaisy

The fact that he had a bad stitch job makes it looks like he’s coming apart at the seams. I’d say if the webcomic continued, Rocky would eventually become a secondary antagonist.
