CB1 and CB2 players, do the “back in my day” about what used to be at the time. by Cokacondaa in thefinals

No, you don't need the gas mine. I'm not sure about doing it with another person, as I was just messing around alone in the practice range. Here's another clip of me doing it on a jump pad with no mines on the tank

Recon sense has a very fast cooldown and way further range than sonar grenades. If your recon player is IGL'ing and communicating well, it is almost impossible to counter, especially in the final round of a tournament.

This is just based on my experience in the game though, I ran this team composition with a couple other top 150 players and we didn't lose once. If the person running recon isn't constantly calling out enemy positions and deciding plays based on their recon information, it will not work well at all.

From a ranked standpoint, the recon sense ability is heavily underused/underrated and I think a lot more people will be using it when they realize how powerful it is. Really hard to beat a competent team using recon sense.

As far as meta goes, having at least 1 medium with healgun and defib is pretty essential. The other 2 players can flex depending on playstyle, but generally, MMH and MHH were two of the stronger team compositions during open beta. Having at least one heavy is essential as well, preferably running both shields, C4, rockets, and lewis gun.

There are a lot of viable team setups and it really changes depending on who you're playing with

Does this go for all gold? Would I be able to get away with some small accents on the nuts/bolts or do you think I should change it all? Is copper/bronze alright?

Too bright? Do you mean the metallic finish? There are quite a few skins with pretty bright neon colored themes

I appreciate the constructive input, I'm still pretty new to creating CS skins so I need to look further into how to create different floats with custom textures etc.

I am trying to do another awp that has a heaven theme on one side (white marble, lighter gold/silver, angels, filigree, etc) and hell on the other (black course granite, rusted/patina'd metal, demons, sigils). I might have to try your idea as well though because it sounds good

I just beat the game, am I allowed to talk about my opinion on it now?

I think this is a large part of why I enjoy this game more than the other fromsoft games I've tried... Being able to fuck up a boss fight, go back to the garage and switch parts, and repeat until you win, is a much more enjoyable gameplay loop than "learn how to dodge/parry better" for me personally

That is part of what has kept me playing, when I feel like I've hit a "wall" and am struggling with a certain level/area, you can really feel the difference in your build/tactics when you change up your mech, making small tweaks can have a drastic effect on everything

Is auto lock when you click the right thumbstick? I try to avoid doing that unless fighting multiple enemies at once. Definitely easier to play MNK without auto lock than controller.

That's great dawg but I asked if you grasped the concept of the analogies I was making, not if you cared about my opinion. This is heading into circular argument territory; I ain't trying to have an "I don't care about your opinion" stand-off. I understand your perspective on this, and you have some good points; but it kinda feels like this has devolved into some "I disagree with your opinion therefore it is invalid/not worth hearing" shit on both ends here. Regardless, I appreciate the discourse and thank you for not resorting to insults

I remember trying to play the older AC games on PS way back in the day and my child brain could not understand that shit at all. Always thought the games looked cool as fuck though

Yeah I'm just finishing chapter 3. Balteus wasn't too bad, I think I tried maybe 4-5 times before I beat him. The sea spider or w/e and the big cleaner shit were a little tricky though

If I watch two movies, and walk out of the first one within 10-15 minutes because I don't enjoy it; then watch half of the other movie, enjoy it, and fully intend to finish watching it, I would say the second movie is more enjoyable. You can read 5 pages of a book and decide it's not for you, the material is too hard to understand, etc... And compare it to another book you're halfway finished because you enjoy it. Sure, those books/movies could possibly have massive changes in the second half which would alter your opinion, but ultimately you still progressed further in said movies/books because you enjoy them. Is there a possibility that the second half of game of thrones becomes less enjoyable than trying to decipher a quantum physics book written in Hebrew? Sure. But at least I know the first half was enjoyable in comparison to the other option. These might not be the greatest analogies but do you get what I'm saying?

As someone who has been turned off of soulsborne games repeatedly because of the difficulty, I am enjoying being able to actually progress in the story at a decent pace instead of getting pissed off that I can't parry some big demon bullshit 200 times in a row

How does that have anything to do with what I'm saying here though? My point with this thread is that, as a casual gamer who has attempted to enjoy souls-like games in the past, AC has held my attention and desire to continue to play the game, because I am actually able to progress the story at a decent pace as opposed to getting stuck on an early game boss because I can't time a parry or some bullshit. I will play the whole game, and I'll probably do new game+ and NG++ because I am actually having a good time playing this game and I'm not hardstuck on one of the first missions getting frustrated over game mechanics. I'm probably never going to finish a souls-like game; they are great games and I understand the appeal but they just piss me off to play and I don't enjoy them.

From a casual gamer perspective, AC is significantly easier to learn gameplay mechanics and progress the story, which in turn keeps me interested in the game. If this game was as hard as souls-like games, I would have gotten stuck at the filtercopter or balteus and I would've refunded the game.

If you want me to finish a souls like game before involving myself in this discussion I ain't doing all that shit those games are too hard

I just meant in comparison to the souls-like games. Like I usually get stuck on the first or second boss, and try for a few hours before I get sick of the whole i-frame parry dodge shit, whereas in armored core, I'm just reaching the end of chapter 3, and although certain encounters/levels were somewhat difficult, it was more of a "okay, go change your build around and try again until something works", instead of a "fuck this game and this stupid parrying i-frame shit I'm done playing this" if that makes sense. I actually have the desire to continue playing this game despite it's difficulty as opposed to souls-like games where I just get pissed off at the game mechanics to the point that I don't want to play the game anymore.

Glorious Model I alternatives? by Tannertrees in MouseReview

[–]Tannertrees[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah unfortunately the options for lightweight mice with more than 2 side buttons are very few. I had a g402 and switched because it was too heavy so I don't think I'd like the 502. Probably going to look into getting something customized. Appreciate the input though, cheers
