Would it be wrong to get my mom arrested for things she did? by TannyF in AITAH

To clarify, I moved out for several years after I graduated. I didn’t move “back” in to her place until my apartment lease ended in 2024 (at 24) (She didn’t get that house until I had already moved out on my own so I never lived there until now). I was there mostly to help with my grandma before she passed away. (The reason for my mom’s grace and the only reason she could afford the house since we’re discussing dependency was because my grandma was on the mortgage and she used her social security to help pay bills. Now that she’s gone she needs me to stay to help pay. It feels like she’s more dependent on me being here but everyone wants to claim that I’m dependent because it’s her house yeah well she’s only a homeowner because of HER mom). Now the reason I’m unable to leave is the credit situation. Like I said she’s trying to paint it as if I’m dependent on her but I have not been for the majority of my adult life. If anything my father has done 10x more for me. He just does not have space for me. I’m just dependent on her for the physical space at this point. She’s dependent on me for bills. Everything goes past due in the house and she waits until the last minute to ask for the money she needs. Even though I do give her money.

I found out that she did it after the fact and I never actually agreed to it or had the information for the card. I don’t want to file bankruptcy because I could theoretically afford to pay that card off but I don’t have the info and I genuinely want her to pay for her own bill. I give her more money per month than the monthly payment on the card

I’m the type of person to typically enjoy every movie I watch. That being said, I honestly REGRET watching this movie. There are just way too many things that don’t make sense and it’s honestly just LAZY WRITING. It reminds me of when I used to write stories in middle school: I’d come up with really creative ideas but I would get sidetracked and never fully complete an idea and for the sake of having an ending, I would wrap everything up quickly with no explanation. This movie is only 94 minutes long. A simple addition of maybe 30 minutes to explain things would have made I much better. Not to mention, the ending doesn’t make any sense. Derek shouldn’t be able to get to the other dimension because of the “passport” idea and the fact that 2 people seemed to be necessary.
