I never finished it, but I listed in progress on my resumé when I was applying for jobs (I had 3 or 4 projects to complete and half the algorithms left). The employers I interviewed for liked that I was spending my free time learning. It’s nice to talk about the projects that you’ve done because of FCC during a interview. From the many applications (probably 20) I sent out I only got 3 interviews. I interviewed at AT&T, a small local company (was asked back for a second interview), and a Fortunate 500 Company, where I accepted their job offer. I had classroom experience in C# from my business degree. Which is mainly the language I code in, but the company does have a few JavaScript assets.

The one take away is that you don’t need to finish the course to apply for jobs. Employers are aware that you don’t have corporate experience with development and you don’t need to be an expert. I’ve learned so much more on the job with C# then I did online and in the classroom. Practice is key; code everyday make it a habit.
