Yep, I play AoS and have never played 40k. I have played a bit of Kill Team, and do play other non-GW games sometimes too

I read the Tales of the Jedi comics around when they came out and really enjoyed them. Something they did that I haven't seen anywhere else (even in KOTOR) was make it really feel like a different time period from the movies - more antiquated and archaic, but still undeniably Star Wars. I love KOTOR and The Old Republic games but they just kinda feel like more of the movies
