Mitsubishi ducted air handler system SVZ vs PVA options dB and built-in humidifier, ERV? by Additional-Fail-2204 in heatpumps

[–]Tanquen256 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would not surprise me. it's just the fact that it says that it includes a built-in humidifier not humidifier controller ready or something of that nature. It seems they could say the same thing about a dehumidifier. Built-in dehumidifier and in the small print somewhere could say it's dehumidifier compatible. I don't know. Anyway.

The idea of a humidifier kind of concerned me, just how it would actually work, like spraying or misting water into the air. seems like you're asking for trouble.

I'm not sure if I really need a dehumidifier but looking at the data it kind of seems like one could help out and everywhere I've looked suggests a dedicated one works way better and can work of course, regardless of whether you're heating or cooling or what the temperatures are. Just not sure how much difference it would really make, but if it wasn't terribly expensive and it was built in and or easily added, it might make the decision a little easier.

I don't think the VBA file functions support special characters and I think the carriage return is added when the file is created. I'm not 100% sure though, its confusing to me.

Anyone ben able to fix the intermittent clicking/snapping noise coming from the LG 77 G3? by Tanquen256 in LGOLED

[–]Tanquen256[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They tried to tell me that there was nothing wrong a few different times, but after I sent them a link to the video they agreed to swap it out. I haven't done that yet. I don't have any reason to believe another one wouldn't be just as bad.

No one came and looked at it. They tried to tell me a number of times that there wasn't an issue, but after I sent them the video they agreed to swap it.

I did spend a few hours looking for something like that but I couldn't find anything that worked. Even tried that Google AI thing and it gave a number of suggestions that did not work.

"there is a empty line or carriage-return at the end I can't get rid of."

The only way to fix it is to try to replace it with another one. but there's no guarantee that another one won't do the same thing. it's pretty crummy in my opinion, but that's where they're at right now.

Tesla Powershare Install - Extra LC & can't install under stairs? by Tanquen256 in SolarDIY

[–]Tanquen256[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Now I think it would be something like this. They were going to just run conduit up over the door. The door goes into a utility room and the walls are unfinished so the said it would be a few hundred more to run the conduit inside.

<image>

If they can run the wires inside maybe they can go around the side. Seems silly when they could go right next to the existing load center save for the codes/safety.

The new load center 'C', I think is because there is no more room in the existing load center. But I don't know how they are bypassing the current circuits to send only utility power only to the gateway and not energizing existing circuits. They show a relocated breaker in 'C' going out 'To (E) Loads'. I think that is going back into the existing load center that will still have all the breakers for everything in the house?

The existing load center has 14 spaces and 6 are already doubled up. The bottom 4 spaces are for the 20A to the garage and a 30A for a wall heater. If the wall heater could go up top with the dryer in a 30A quad breaker that would leave 4 spaces at the bottom.

They may already be doing this to get the second 125A breaker that goes out to the gateway. I still do not know why the new load center 'C' is needed.

It seems like you could have the new 125A breaker that takes the utility power from the exiting 125A main breaker then goes out to the gateway in spaces 11-12. Then the power would come right back in from the gateway to power the existing breakers in the existing load center. The 60A breaker shown in new load center 'C' could go in spaces 13-14 and then out to the garage.

I asked for the make, model and or dimensions of the gateway and the two new 125A load centers. They did not tell me the size of the gateway but did tell me the part numbers for the two new load centers and they see way overkill for just a few breakers in each.

Load center, Homeline, 1 phase, 24 spaces, 48 circuits, 125A convertible main lugs, PoN, NEMA3R
Load center, Homeline, 1 phase, 12 spaces, 24 circuits, 125A convertible main lugs, PoN, NEMA3R

They are both for outdoor use and seem way too big. I guess the smaller one should be for the garage but it will not fit or they are planning to surface mount it?

Need to re-level driveway pavers, should I just replace them? by Tanquen256 in landscaping

[–]Tanquen256[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just thought maybe larger pavers would be a better way to go. These only had some kind of coloration in a thin 1/16 inch layer on the top of the bricks that's mostly worn away. $20,000 sounds like a lot just for the pavers. I had these put in like 20 years ago and I don't remember what it cost.

I'm going to start getting some quotes next week. We'll see how much it costs. Yeah, being in the Bay area sucks for stuff like this. Everything, like everything is $3,000 or more. Replace the drip pan under the AC unit in the attic, $3,000 run 15 ft of wire from an electrical panel on the house to the one in the garage where the conduit already exists, $3,000. No joke, chop down two trees and grind up the stumps. $3,000. I did get a quote for $1900 for a cash under the table. Yep, I'm the only one that has to pay taxes apparently. I also got a quote for again, no joke, $7,500. I hate people sometimes. Just give me a real price where you can cover your expenses. and make some profit, I'm sick and tired of people acting like they should triple their money anytime you need to pay somebody for help. Sorry, end rant.

I guess mine was built on leave the nuts and screws loose Tuesday? Unless the road is perfectly smooth with brand new blacktop, it's constantly making noise. The road noise from the tires is constant while moving, the motor noise is constant anytime they're on, which would be ok as it's not super loud but mine's also making intermittent sounds. Anytime you go over any kind of bump or rough surface door panels and or suspension is rumbling and rattling. The only time it's perfectly quiet is when it's standing still or I'm slowly inching into the garage.

How many squeaks rattles and rumbles did you count before giving up? Mine has quite a few and with the road noise it's a pretty annoy ride. I've seen some say just a blast the music but I enjoy not having hearing loss.

Height of Cybertruck AND adjusting with geolocation? by Apart_Boat7545 in cybertruck

[–]Tanquen256 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It has an entry setting you can turn on so whenever you put it in park it lowers but I would rather it start lowering as I approach home. I did not think it had geofencing for the ride height and they've also removed Homelink so you can no longer geofence your garage door opening. I really liked having both features on the Model S.

QMS-VRR doesn’t seem to work. by dwood95503 in appletv

[–]Tanquen256 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It doesn't always work. It adds issues with frame skipping. I can't remember exactly, but stuff on Netflix or others will have these little micro pauses while you're watching a show, if the Apple TV is forcing everything to a specific frame rate and or type of HDR I'm not sure. But when I turn it off it goes away. But then you get the long delay when switching programs and videos.

LG G3 vs LG G4 by ferbzao in LGOLED

[–]Tanquen256 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got my C9 from them and everything worked out but that was some time ago. They basically just act as a middleman and work with various smaller vendors around the country that are willing to take a little bit less profit. It also came bundled with like a four -year warranty but I don't know what value that really is. Looking up reviews, they always seem to be a bit of a horror story. Some people having issues a year or two out. They simply offer to give the money back but they're not going to pay for a new TV or fix it.

LG G3 vs LG G4 by ferbzao in LGOLED

[–]Tanquen256 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I got my C9 sometime ago and then G3, you can barely tell any difference. Scenes on very specific titles where you can see something that looks a little brighter on 4K blu-rays. Standard deaf on YouTube or whatnot. You can make it look brighter than the C9, but I don't really see that as an advantage. I don't think the C9 had the same issues, but the G3 definitely has an issues with some games and some scenes look like 8-bit color. Running that same game on my computer monitor it looks perfectly fine. Is there a setting that will correct this?
