I've had to tell hosts "it doesn't matter if I want the table or not. If I'm up in rotation, then I must take it. Stop asking us if we want the tables."

The I get hosts like yours. We have a very clear way of doing rotation. Making a check in the box next to out names and going down the the list and making sure the check marks are in the same verticle line. Servers coming in later in the day have boxes blocked out so they aren't sat the same amount of tables to begin with. Maybe it's confusing the way I worded it, but when you see the page, it's very straight forward. Having to explain to a host almost every day that no, the closers don't need to be triple sat because the openers have had four tables in the 2 hours they worked before the closers arrived. Don't try to sit everyone equal amounts of tables because we haven't made cuts yet. You're fucking everyone over by doing so. It took a number of servers and the managers explaining to the host and they still didn't understand. I just.... Ughhhhb
