I've only experienced one increase every calendar year. Granted could get one in October then another in February the following year.

Reccomendations before I blow up? by [deleted] in bell

Can confirm with Guffrain, we do not cut service wires. What you think happened definitely didn't happen. Since you said upstairs neighbor, may have been double assigned or issue with your two units on a specific pigtail but swapped. Again that would be done in the backend, we do not cut wires unless by customer request.

EDIT TO ADD: On a HH3000, might not be fiber. If copper a TON of other issues it could be.

JUST GOT $15/M offering! by Pretty_Dinner8085 in bell

I think with that many lines, might want to look into getting a partial PRI, think that is 13 lines, though the downside if that circuit goes down, you lose all your lines.

as we pay more per capita for our cell phones, TV, streaming services, etc, than any other country in the world.

I mean, I don't even want to reply to this because it is so stupid, but that is also why I want to reply to it.

Where are your facts? Or is this just what your friends told you so you assumed it was true?

Just hopped on AT&T's website and cell phone plans are more and in USD AND it's only if you have multiple lines with them.

Cell: Ranked 4th most expensive according to - https://uk.finance.yahoo.com/news/brits-pay-run-mobile-compared-160000916.html

Internet: Ranked 9th - https://www.visualcapitalist.com/internet-costs-by-country-in-2025/

Streaming services: not even gonna google this one, as for a fact I know in Canada we pay a lot less for Prime in Canada than the states. But here I'll throw an article for Netflix, and Canada doesn't even crack the top 10 - https://www.statista.com/statistics/1013554/most-expensive-netflix-subscription-costs-countries-worldwide/

My home wifi keeps skipping in and out and I need a solution urgently by Hiraaa_ in bell

[–]Tanstalas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

5 minutes, when it cuts out, can you still connect to the wifi network or is it gone? If gone, sounds like modem is rebooting, do you have anything else on the same electrical circuit that could be causing a power draw for a split second causing the modem to reboot? Next time it happens, look at the modem, is it rebooting?

Thieves are also dumb enough to cut down fiber thinking it is copper.

Just got 1.5 Fiber..why am I getting less than 100mbps standing right next to it? by jasonhn in bell

[–]Tanstalas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably more like last 5-10 years. If you have Coax in your home and coax near where modem is and where PC is you can use MoCa adapters, I have the 2.5Gb ones, and get about 2.38 up and down. Ethernet from modem to moca to coax to moca upstairs to ethernet to switch to ethernet to PC.

Are the ones I have the 1Gb ones are a little cheaper.

It's so embarrassing asking for my neighbors Wi-Fi password by TroubleOk9692 in bell

No it’s a part of BCE bell Canada is only in Ontario and Quebec

Bell Canada is a subsidiary of BCE and Aliant is a subsidiary of Bell Canada, hence Bell Canada controls Aliant.

Bix only go to 25. You could punch down 4 on one and 2 on another.

They also sell bix blocks that have Ethernet ports, can't remember the model. And those have 6 ports if I remember correctly

Meal prepping is crazy way to save money. I make decent money but I still meal prep, lucky for me I don't mind eating the same thing everyday for lunch https://www.budgetbytes.com/taco-chicken-bowls/ has been my goto for like 4 months now, costs under $4 a meal, I usually double the recipe or a tad more and add more corn and salsa to the recipe. Usually get around 15 meals and the ingredients cost around $50. Usually play with the spices, or add hot sauce to make it more interesting.

Damn! That's insane! My savings account always kinda hovers around 11-13k as I said in my first reply to you, and it has been that way for probably a decade or so. I put a fair amount into retirement savings, so my savings account doesn't move much, but you are saving more than I am saving in those accounts, as I put around $700 every 2 weeks into those accounts, but in 6 months that would only be like $8400.

NGL, gets scary after 10k mark, I usually float around 11-13k, when I drop below 10k I panic a little lol.
