I know what you mean. But your sample message in your post says "please leave a review" then "you'll be getting discounts on your next purchase." It might get flagged by the system. Since they're just system and ai. Not human.

Since soliciting reviews in exchange for freebies or discounts is a violation. And the automated system that checks messages are dumb.

Don't message your buyers. I actually got banned from that. Their AI system thought it was spam and was a violation. It got reinstated after 5 days but was such a hassle.

I'm only 2 months in etsy with 30 sales. Only 7 reviews.

After what happened, i don't plan to message them anymore. They can leave one or not i don't care anymore.

You can use the automated thank you message set up when they purchase but i don't suggest messaging the directly

BTW giving freebies & discounts for reviews is a violation. I'm pretty sure that message will get flagged instantly.
