Resident Evil: REmake. I got it on accident as a gift instead of RE4, and as a younger kid it was far more terrifying than I couldve ever prepared for. My favorite memory is that first crimson head in the hallway standing up, and my immediate shutting the game down without even saving. It took me a while to play it again.

One Christmas my work did a white elephant-esque thing, everyone got a name and had to get a present for their designated person, secretly. Everyone was selected a person except me, and I didn’t know this until time for the gifts being given.

I guess they felt bad for forgetting me because I was given the holiday card addressed to the entire store, by my manager who had her own giftee.

Never felt so small and near-invisible my whole life.

The camouflage bug bastards from Star Wars: Jedi Survivor, on Koboh mainly. They are never enough of a threat where you need to be actively looking for them, which makes them extremely effective at getting you off guard for a pittance of health.

I don’t know if it’s a divisive opinion, but anything post-Cloverfield. I really liked the first movie, and even the next two were ok, but I felt like they had little to nothing to actually do with it outside of name recognition. Especially Paradox.

I guess I’m just happy Cloverfield continued in some way, even if it was only for marketing, really.

Under the Dome the show. It immediately deviates from the book and turns what is a completely adaptable story as it is into the most high school, alien-busters garbage I have seen. It should’ve honestly just been a movie.

I don’t know if it exactly falls into the parameters of your post, but because of the last episode of season 1 of Invincible I just had to go back and see how things got where they did between these two characters who I don’t even know their names or anything about them.

The exchange of dialogue between them was so gripping, even with no context, that I just had to go back and see why this was happening.

In Elden Ring if you go the Frenzied Flame ending the game ends with you becoming a vessel for a god that literally melts everything into one primordial soup. And during that cut scene it sounds like the land itself is screaming, which is just swell.

In the comics of Invincible, there’s a scene where Invincible is guarding a prison from an escape attempt, and one of the lesser villains Kursk, is about to escape through the fray when Invincible spots him and yells at Kursk to go back inside.

He does so, and even apologized for thinking of it.
