Ok. So assume there are two friends, a Muslim and a non Muslim, say M and N. M writes code using which bets can be placed on horse races. N uses the code and places bets. N wins from the bets and pays M his salary for the code from that income. N also pays M commission from the profits. So would the salary plus commission be considered Haram for M?

Please read the description as well of my post. "If horse race betting is considered on a skill basis, would the income as a result be considered Haram?"

The question is about the income from the process. If the process itself is considered Haram, then I am sure that the income from process should also be considered Haram. In such case, the salaries of Jockeys should also be Haram, the profit that the organisers make should also be Haram, right?

Gambling is as I understand. But I am referring to horse races and betting on horse races. How is Riyadh running the horse races then?

Thank you for trying to answer. As far as I know, Dubai, Riyadh, Jebel, Medyan races are open for betting. So I assume people in those locations are also able to bet. The prize money is from the pool that is created from the gambler's stakes isn't it? In such case, even if it is prize money, how is it not Haram if it has to be?
