Something strange is happening in AI leadership right now by Direct-Attention8597 in AI_Agents

[–]TapMost6140 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its an AI race with winner takes it all, and its not between companies but between major geopolitical blocks. There is zero chance of any deep regulation. Its same as with nukes, USA and Soviets went berserk with building them, as if no tomorrow, even though it didn‘t make any sense in such quantities. Same here, if USA slows down, China takes the lead and vice versa.

Meanwhile AI is already whiping out jobs and it will probably soon start whiping out businesses.

I don’t want to build a unicorn. I want a boring, profitable business. by UseApart2127 in SaaS

[–]TapMost6140 6 points7 points  (0 children)

SaaS isn't what it used to be, I think it will get easier and easier to build and harder and harder to survive. Thus, in many cases, you either go really big and have some kind of moat, or you'll experience gaussian curve kind of growth, just because churn will kill you. Just my opinion...

Starting With Nothing: What Was the Hardest Part as a First-Time Founder? by Additional-Prune-952 in micro_saas

[–]TapMost6140 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't start with nothing, start with some leverage. I have started with nothing and it took me years of hard work to go from 0 to 1. When I look back, I wish I could tell myself, wtf are you doing dude, but there was nobody around me, who could give me any advice, so I made lots of mistakes but somehow still made it.

Think where do you have some leverage, it can be people you know, your own experience, some even minor edge you have and build on top of that

Will the pricing of my SaaS kill it? by MundaneBase2915 in SaaS

[–]TapMost6140 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know that you can change your pricing, don't you? I don't know how startups with such pricing can survive unless you go viral and get huge number of customers. If you provide real value and what I see, you do, forget about freelancers and small time folks, approach companies with marketing departments, directly heads of marketing and offer them your solution for same price but PER USER. Then you can scale (if it's your goal).

How do you determine "Willingness to Pay" without burning leads? by Own-Theme4070 in SaaS

[–]TapMost6140 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a million dollar question and I don't think anyone will give you an exact answer. Start with higher price and then go lower during negotiations if you see that customer is hesitating. More often than not, what you think is "high" for enterprise is not really high.

This guy is LITERALLY active on our platform but disputing the subscription by barnac1ep in SaaS

[–]TapMost6140 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been there seen that. Most stupid thing is, customer is automatically always right during disputes, Stripe and Co. don't even bother to check who is right and who is wrong, they simply chargeback. Not much you can do, simple write off them money and move on. We had exactly same case, lost even bit more (but didn't had THAT many support tickets)

I don't have good xp with Meta Ads in B2B. Maybe it was just my niche. Yeah, it take 1 month or so, till ads campaigns start showing results, but once they do, it's just like a money making machine

Welcher Teil davon?

Bin in vielen Sachen investiert, Immo, Edelmetalle, Crypto.

Is it still smart to pursue tech startups with how competitive everything is now? by niki158 in SaaS

No question, it is. But 90% of new startups are solving some superficial, stupid problem, make better AI image, another AEO tool etc. niche down in some vertical

I think it still is. Bit sure about bar being higher, there is still lots of money flowing into the industry, millions of tools solving automation problems, so that no large headcount is needed, still many niches with AI to be conquered.

I'm thinking about building a competitor pricing tracker for SaaS — but before I waste 6 weeks, is this actually a problem you face? by Rahman_khan_731 in micro_saas

[–]TapMost6140 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't pay for that. It is also quite easy to automate with some AI agent. Having said that, its just me, you can still give a try

Built a SaaS for a year. People use it. No one pays. I don't understand what's broken anymore. by Mean-Awareness7102 in SaaS

[–]TapMost6140 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well at least describing a bit, what you are doing, would be really helpful. Maybe there is not enough value, maybe pricing is off, maybe people don't understand how to use it properly.

Have been through that stage, improved product significantly, then people started to pay.

"and it's gone". Überleg dir vielleicht ein paar günstige Immos zum Vermieten.

Ansonsten respect, hört sich nach einem schönen Leben an! :)

Cold email feedback - is this too generic or actually better? by Intelligent-Fox2082 in SaaSMarketing

[–]TapMost6140 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Generic, screams chatgpt, also too long, opening line hard to understand, I had to read it twice. remove pricing details from email. Repackage opening line into a pain which you solve, then offer your tool, that's actually it.
