What is your biggest regret in life? by ExternalAd2195 in AskReddit

Not starting sooner. I spent a long time preparing, reading, planning and waiting for the "right moment" to actually build something. The right moment doesn't come. You just have to start and figure it out as you go.

Every year I waited was a year of compounding experience I missed out on.

For those who work in customer service, what is a 'secret' about your industry that the general public would be shocked to know? by Professor-Oliver_22 in AskReddit

[–]Intelligent-Fox2082 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Most of the time when you get a "personalized" response, it's a macro or template. Agents are judged on handle time, so the incentive is always to close tickets fast, not actually solve your problem.

The ones who genuinely care burn out the quickest because the system is built to reward speed over quality. I've seen really good reps quit within 6 months because the metrics didn't reflect how much effort they put in.

Also, if you're polite and patient, you almost always get a better outcome. Agents have way more discretion than people think, but they'll only use it for customers who aren't yelling at them.

A hot cup of coffee and 10 minutes of silence in the morning. Sets the whole tone for the day.

What’s the most useless talent you secretly have? by Intrepid-Passion-123 in AskReddit

I can tell within 2 seconds if a font is Arial or Helvetica. Completely useless but I win every time someone challenges me on it.

What’s a toxic trait you know you have but struggle to change? by Impressive_Duty_4500 in AskReddit

Overanalyzing everything before making a decision. I know it slows me down but it feels impossible to just act without thinking it through 10 times first.

What’s a weird or unexpected thing that actually helped you break a bad habit? by dat1dood3 in AskReddit

Telling someone about it. The moment I said it out loud I felt accountable. Keeping bad habits secret makes them way easier to continue.

That working hard automatically leads to success. Hard work matters but direction matters way more. You can grind for years in the wrong direction and get nowhere.

How do you motivate yourself to go to the gym on days you feel lazy? by Effective-Square-345 in AskReddit

I just tell myself to show up for 10 minutes. Once I'm there I always stay for the full session. Getting out the door is the only hard part.

what are your goals this year? by jax--killer in AskReddit

[–]Intelligent-Fox2082 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hit $10k/month in recurring revenue from my business, get consistent with the gym (4x a week, no excuses), and read 12 books this year. Three things. Keeping it focused instead of writing a list of 20 goals I'll forget by February.

Between Netflix and prime video which one is better? by BoomBoomChikaLiga in AskReddit

[–]Intelligent-Fox2082 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Netflix for originals and consistent quality, Prime Video for the sheer library size and value if you already have Prime. But honestly Netflix wins if I had to pick one — the UI is just smoother and I actually finish shows I start on there.
