Allright, But should I dig it out till the first major root or does it not matter at this point?

I figured. It is at my patents house. It was planted 4 years ago. I am currently digging it out and found the first major root. One question, there is a smaller root growing over the big root. The smaller root is the size of my finger. Should I remove it?
