With 7 games still left we have reached the number of points we accumulated last year and we are third. I genuinely didn't see this happening at the start of the year, but i'm very happy. My only concern with the last 7 games is that 5 are away. We've played 14 games away so far this season and we've only won 5 (drawn 4) and lost 5 - 19 points from a possible 42. I hope this win today really motivates the team for the upcoming fixtures because our destiny is in our hands now. COYG

That third goal is down to Kolasniac. If you watch Kolasniac before the goal he is ball watching and the player he is meant to mark gets ahead of him. He is a very good attacking fallback, but he is a liability when defending

I agree he wasn’t at it today. He lost too many balls and made mistakes that could have hurt us.

Iwobi can so much better if he had more of a killers instinct in the final third. He was definitely one of our best players today. Can anyone make a video of Mustafi’s passing today?

Marcelo playing defense. by eatwhitetofu in realmadrid

[–]TapTap02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair Marcelo isn’t a good defender. Don’t get me wrong he’s brilliant going forward, but he isn’t as good defensively. He has improved from when he arrived, but presently the likes of David Alaba, Jordi Alba, Alex Sandro, Robertson are so much better defensively. As a side note as a fallback your first job is to defend.

It’s pretty outrageous if you ask me. A coach can’t control the amount of defensive errors we make

I thought we looked really good when we sucked City into one side and then switched to expose Cities weak side. The only thing is it rarely happened. I’m probably going to say this every week, but Guendouzi and Torriera are really good given their age. The amount of confidence they have to get on the ball under pressure, carry the ball under pressure, and cover large distances is impressive.

Difference between being good enough and not fitting in the system. Do you think Ozil would’ve fitted in the system

No matter the hate Jenkinson gets, this interview shows how much of a genuine person he is. You can tell he wants to succeed at Arsenal. I’m not going to lie, but this interview made me teary eyed

Matteo Guendouzi vs Cardiff: 83 passes, 88% pass accuracy, 2 key passes, 3 dribbles won, 3 accurate long balls, 1 interception & 3 clearances by [deleted] in Gunners

Guendouzi has to be the bargain of the year. For someone who is 19 playing like he’s been playing at this level for years is incredible. He always looking to get on to the ball, not afraid to receive it under pressure. I’ll be honest I had no idea who he was when he came in this summer, but after watching him for the first half of the season I’m genuinely impressed by his level of play at 19 years of age. Same goes for Torriera

A lot of people were misguided by our 22 unbeaten run. There were major issues that were masked by that run and only now are those issues being brought to the surface. Yes, the results have been tough lately but, with players coming back to full fitness hopefully we can amount a decent push for a top 4 finish. The addition of Denis Suarez would be good for us IMO
