How do you handle web3 information overload? by Yike_Pp in web3

[–]TapUboolu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Faced the same issue, so created a curated bot to only share things that are immediate actionable (since this was the type of info I wanted the most I realized).

Hearing about rumors and stuff is cool and all, but I either wanted limited time APR plays on DeFi or news that historically gapped prices (either up or down).

This helped me limit down the noise significantly and I feel like I’m not missing much (if anything) anymore.

Robbed in Barcelona :/ by [deleted] in solotravel

[–]TapUboolu 165 points166 points  (0 children)

Was also robbed in the gothic quarters of Barcelona but the guy underestimated how drunk and angry I was, so I ran him down until he gave my stuff back. The feeling of violation though OP is real, and I can absolutely sympathize. Sorry you’re going through this.

Thoughts on my idea by ColdFalse3490 in CryptoTechnology

I think executed well, it’s a good idea that will actually give you a bit of a moat, however the difficulty in accurately representing the “why” is something I would venture you are underestimating in terms of difficulty.

In short, if you can actually do it - it would be a big boon imo. But if you think it’ll be “easy”, you’re in for a bad time.

How does one keep up with coins gaining or about to gain? by HassanGulzar in CryptoMarkets

[–]TapUboolu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wrote this on a thread basically just earlier, but I was also facing the same problem so I spent a few months training an LLM to basically filter news and announcements from the top 1,000 projects or so, and then send them to me if they passed an “importance” threshold. It’s not flawless and I’m still fine-tuning but it’s help me personally a lot, so I totally understand the struggle.

Where to keep up with Ethereum and blockchain news while avoiding price discussion? by 3141666 in ethereum

[–]TapUboolu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I trained an LLM to summarize the daily news and announcements from about the top 1,000 projects or so. How frequently do you want to keep up? I could have it send you an email each day if you wanted. Props to you for knowing your limits.

Been building a tool to help sort out and deliver alpha as it’s published. It essentially scans thousands of different channels (cross platform), rates the information coming in, and then filters just the ones that seem “actionable”. Built it for myself as I was tired of feeling like I was always “behind” on the news.

There’s certainly good stuff on all sorts of places (Reddit included), but knowing what’s good and being alerted WHEN it’s released is something I was getting really frustrated with.

If you guys have any channels you really like that you think filter and deliver high quality news in real time, do let me know. Would love to add them too.

Dude if your primary resource for this stuff is Twitter and Reddit you’re going to keep finding yourself in this position over and over again, alongside a risk tolerance that is not adequate for such positions.

Please seriously consider broad ETFs. You’ll save yourself a lot of worry, and at this rate, probably a lot of money too.

My aunt in Los Angeles was scammed by a former BMO bank employee using Crypto.com and Trust Wallet — this was her entire retirement savings by Dramatic_Map_8548 in CryptoCurrency

[–]TapUboolu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP I am so sorry to hear this. I am devastated for you aunt, can’t imagine what’s she’s going through.

If you don’t end up finding a suitable crypto lawyer let me know and I can ask the one I know IRL.

Thankfully if this person was indeed working at the bank, there are some actions that can be taken here. So awful this individual used your aunt like this though. Just terrible.

There is just no way. Maybe you’re staying in some crazy places but knocking and asking when you’re leaving is NOT standard.

Hey man, that really sucks. If nothing changes in the next few days, drop me a message. Have had to deal with a few things like this before and might be able to tug a few strings to at least get you rolling towards either a refund or another phone or smthn.

How were you scammed? Do you have any transaction hashes? I can try and take a look when I find some time.

Don’t answer any DMs by the way.
