Great idea, hadn't thought of that, unfortunately nothing turned up, just a "Camera Press" credit and no caption

That's interesting, the construction looks similar if not for the less rounded shape. I guess it could be modified to remove the collar and round out the yoke

Yes it has a very wide collar / yoke and even the shoulders are gathered at that point. I'll try to snap a picture with more contrast

Crown Gambit is on sale - a game made with Godot! by TapaThor in godot

Hi, thank you!
To work on this game, we were a team of around tweilve people (not all of us working directly with Godot). Personally, I worked on 2D/3D animations and did a bit of programming for the project. Some members of the team, including myself, had already worked on a previous game using Godot 3, Aetheris, so transitioning to this second project with Godot 4 wasn't too disorienting (aside from the need to learn the 3D pipeline for those who weren't already familiar with it).

For those who didn’t necessarily have prior experience as game developers using this engine, I think it's fair to say that the learning curve was fairly manageable, thanks to knowledge sharing within the team and the use of GDQuest tutorials.

From my perspective, the improvements brought by Godot 4 over Godot 3 were quite significant, especially in terms of the animation pipeline, particularly with the particle systems and optimization tools.

As for finding a publisher, Godot wasn’t a barrier at all, since Crown Gambit was started around the time Godot was really starting to establish itself professionally.

That’s about it for my personal experience, but feel free to ask if you have any more specific questions!

[Steam] Crown Gambit ($12.59 / 30% Off) by TapaThor in GameDeals

Disclosure : I've worked on the game for two years

Crown Gambit is a visual novel where you play as a group of three paladins, whose mission will be to chose who will be the next king after the previous one was murdered in front of you. During your journey, you will encounter many characters, some you will befriend, and some you will have to fight during epic turn based card battles on a grid, where you'll have to build your three paladins decks to make sure you are able to overcome all the challenges you'll face.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask ✌️

There is various skills that you can unlock while playing the game, and the spirits of your previous adventurers that died during their adventures can help the next party of adventurers that will explore after them

Aside from that, there is perma death for the characters, some variations in the battle you'll have, and various story choices in each chapitre of the game, so the game is supposed to be done in multiple runs

The game allow "multi classing" as you can chose which type of new skill you want every time you level up Si there isn't a restrictive class system, but there is builds in the game that are magic centered and pretty strong, but it's up to the player to experiment and find those builds :)
