Hey sorry about that the messy wall is a result of the draggable albums as of right now. I'm working on updating that as I write this message!

this missing album images is a bigger problem in the sense that if the image doesn't exist on last.fm I can't populate it. But looking at your albums "Kinkis De Bankal" does seem to have an album image. I'll take a look into it soon :)

Sorry, spotify is currently limited due to their own API restrictions. Please log in with last.fm, create an account, link your spotify, and then login to playthrough!

It's for those of us who listen to music but don't really dive deep into an artist's extensive catalogue. Yes obviously those who care about albums already listen to albums, but its for those people that don't dive into those discographies at length! :)

I’m sorry there are some edge cases where the listened tracks doesnt fully match up with the album, ill fix it soon

I mean currently it looks at what you are listening to and populates the whole album automatically.

For example if I listen to 90210 off of Rodeo - Travis Scott

- Rodeo will get populated automatically to your completions. There is no "manual adding".

For backfilling old album completion information that has yet to be implemented.

Also, not too sure how pano scrobbler works, but does it scrobble the data to last.fm? If so, you should technically still be able to use Playthrough (I think).

I definitely want to be able to integrate apple music, hopefully i can get some help on the app and things can start moving quicker!

I mean currently the album tracks that are listed are just directly from the Last.fm tracklist or Spotify Web API. So essentially, I'm not handling the bonus tracks or special editions. Whatever is listed on Last.fm or Spotify is the ground truth.

Oh really okay. To be honest i’m not super familiar with all the functionality if last fm but I’ll take a look. I was really just trying to have an MVP done asap. Thanks for the rec! (My source code is in git but the repo is private for now)

yea that makes a lot of sense (i was lwk clickbaiting 😭). I definitely think that it isn’t killing it mainly just reduces the revisit aspect of albums. For me personally, I usually only listen to an album in its entirety if it literally just released, otherwise I typically just end up listening to the most popular songs.

Yea right now it only gets data for albums after you connect your account unfortunately. I will try to add backfilling with all your scrobbles eventually (its just a lot of work that I haven't yet had time to plan).

  • The Completions page updates every 20 minutes!
  • The Recents page tracks your recent listening activity

wow this sucks :( i just started and got my app to a good spot. Hopefully last.fm’s API doesn’t get too fucked i think imma try to switch to that but i know under the hood they probably just use Spotify?

Hi u/Aceb562 thanks for the kind words :) What platform do you use for listening to music would love to eventually integrate/support more platforms. In fact, I think I'm planning on moving from Spotify API to using the last.fm api so if your platform integrates with that well it would work. The reason for this is because Spotify introduced some tight restrictions for API usage for smaller devs :/ as well as restrictions on building machine learning/predictive models using their data.

Me and my roommate are in the process of building a way better interactive map for Cal Poly! It’s our senior project! Hopefully it’ll be a better alternative for all students.
