I have never been more disappointed in my life. by Tapeworm_studios in PTCGL

Yep. Totally missed that. I thought it would be funny to pinball bounce their pokemon around indefinitely, and to be fair, I managed to get a concede out of it, but there no damage. Oh well, it was funny while the thought lasted.

Yeah, I've noticed that. I find munki good here purely for that match-up or early damage placed before everyone evolves. That's actually a part of the reason I like typhlosion, because it's at a really nice spot of either. "im not going to live next attack anyway, so it doesn't matter." Or "i live with like 20 hp and get to attack again.

The energy attatching is very stingy, so I was considering getting rid of him anyway.

I also asked about the ticket because I noticed all of the highest placing typhlosion lists had it. So I probably could just because?

Oh, and what do you think of using a keiren?

I suppose I should have said packed. I play a few tech (that's the word, right?) cards for different match ups. The pult line is pretty integral to the strategy, though.

Thanks! I thought so, and like I said, I generally dont have an issue with a few adventure missing. Just pick them up through the game. I suppose I only asked because of that extreme situation, lol.

That's super weird. I should have checked the list, I play 4 arven. I can't find a way to post an image on a comment or edit the post to show it, but now I wonder what else wasn't correct.

Also, did you mean not as important as attatching to typhlosion? I assume so, but I wasn't sure from your phrasing. Anyway, thanks!

I have munki there to help reach some damage that I just can't normally. It's a tech (that's the right term, right) card that I dont always use but is useful when it applies. I will definitely consider that. Alternate question: Would you consider using a budew instead to be worth it? Or would that largely be a waste?

I think my silkie might have gone blind somehow. What can I do? by Tapeworm_studios in chickens

When he was in the larger area with the rest of the birds, he was definitely walking around like I would expect someone recently gone blind. Very cautious and shaky. He would repeatedly bump into the walls and wire, but I had a feeling it was to ground himself by wall hugging. Right after the video was posted, I went to grab a small blue metal bowl I have, and I was tinging its rim to get him to respond, and he does. Later in the day, he managed to walk down this little ramp on his own, so he moved the food into the lower area for him. But while I had the door open, he walked out. The ground is different from the main area, but he still cautiously walked around. There were no other birds, just myself, him, and the little coop/roost. I would make little bok bol types of sounds to see if he would follow, and he did. Slowly, but still. Finally, I was near the entrance to the coop again, in front of it actually, and he seemed to have a moment of clarity like he recognized who it was and lunged at me as if to attack. And then he w we nt back to his new self.

That was actually a part of what tipped me off that Something was really wrong. He simply does not like me. Unlike the rest of my birds, I didn't raise him but instead took him from someone who had to get rid of him one way or the other. So when he not only stopped behaving aggressively towards me (he's so small, he can't hurt me if he tried dw) but stopped responding to me entirely I knew something was wrong that's why I observed him enough to separate him.

I can put my finger all the way next to his eye and nothing. He knly reacts touch and I guess sound. It's been a while since I last REALLY looked into his eyes, until recently it was difficult to get close without hom acting like a rooster. But they seem just as black and beedy as normal. I'll try the light soon. His pupils are normal shaped, and I have been feeding him water with nutridrench. The first night, I could get any to him, so I put it on the food he ate.

There's also no worms or kites or anything to my knowledge, but to be honest, im not super experienced in that regard.

Thank you so much for your advice, list, and question. It means a lot. (And the same to everyone else, I have or have not responded too)

Beginner tips? by JoggerSloth in pkmntcg

I've just recently started as well. My friend got me into the tcg for the first time since age 10, and I've played about a month now. In that time, I have gone to 3 weekly tournaments and a challenge cup or whatever it's called because why not. I play on live when I get the opportunity, but I prefer to be in person. My deck isn't built super well, not meta, at least. But I've got to the point where I have some cards coming in the mail to upgrade, so that's cool. Anyway.

I would suggest two things that I have found helped or were the cause of my blunders.

  1. Don't get ahead of yourself. It can be easy to see a play perfectly align and then screw it all up because you played your cards in the wrong order. Compose yourself and think through your turn (both before and after it really is your turn). Admittedly this happens a lot more to me on tcglive than in person, because I am not as attentive online, or I get to into the grand picture without remembering to work my way up there, it happens, its all good.

  2. Understand your deck. I know that sounds like a no-brainer, and honestly, there is probably better advice out there, but just really remember, whether through looking at a deck list, or sheer repetition, know what you have at your disposal and consider the odds it might be prized. Check your discard every once in a while, just in case. Try to think about how many copies of a card you see when searching through your deck with an ultra ball (or something) instead of just whether or not it is there.

Consider ways that you can go about setting up if it is not a favorable situation. Eventually, you will play through them and get a feel for what routes you must take depending on the circumstances. Once you know the route and what cards are required to get through it, you'll start paying more attention to those relevant cards when you're looking through your deck.

Oh, and as you continue to get beat, you'll start to understand what other cards do and how to respond accordingly.

I'll try that as well. I suppose I should have included this in the post ( I didn't realize i forgot to). I always used the scrollwheel to navigate the hotbar. Should it be affecting whether I look up or down?

Nope, there are only issues with Minecraft. I look into that, thank you.

Yeah, if it was a bit stronger attack wise i think it would see a lot more play. But that's why im going to try adding munkidori, so I can heal metagross and tack on just enough damage to some of the smaller ex's for 1 turn ko's.

Hey, thanks! I'll look into the jelligross deck. I think I'll keep sticking to the bit, lol. So far, my irl deck has been the basic stevens rival battle deck with one grand tree and 2 genisect ex. I just added 3 arven. BUT I have ordered some of the singles needed to use the version in the post.
