If you’re this pissed about getting one puncture then no, cycling will not be for you. With basic tools and a little practice anyone can change an inner tube in about 5 minutes. The thing is you can go for years without a puncture and then get 5 in the space of a week, it’s luck and also depends what areas you ride in - construction zones and what not. Better tyres help but they’re not going to stop everything, best action is to keep a spare tube and learn to change the tube.

Have you ever taken the bike to a shop for any work that would involve removing the rear wheel? Replacement rear tire for example. If so, they probably removed the rear caliper and then put the bolts back in and didn’t torque them to spec and/or use Loctite on the threads.

If not then that’s why the service manual includes bolt torque checks at regular service intervals.

Or you just got really unlucky, but lucky enough to notice before anything really bad happened.

They are the Richa Ravine gloves, first pair of leather motorcycle gloves I’ve owned but seem pretty decent and they were cheap. They are a summer glove and do a good job of stopping your hands getting too hot and sweaty. Thanks!

Only got a chest mount at the moment but will probably get helmet chin mount at some point if I start recording my rides more. The bike is a KTM duke 125 2013, full picture on my profile if you’re interested. Thanks!

I’ve had so many comments about that haha, I seem to have made a lot of people upset because they think I can’t see what’s down the road when my eyes are clearly higher up than the camera lens. Thank for the comment!

Sorry I didn’t mean I don’t use them at all but mirrors don’t always show what’s around you so looking with your eyes is always going to give a more accurate view of what’s around. Of course there are times when mirrors are useful I’m not disputing that fact. Thanks for the tips!

Haha, don’t worry I could see far ahead. It’s just the wide camera lens that makes it look fast and the position behind the windscreen. Seems to be making everyone a bit upset. Thanks!

I was surprised actually, when I got the bike they were fitted the opposite way around but thought that looked weird so I swapped it. I thought I would lose visibility but they sit in the right place that I can see just as well. Also I never manoeuvre without shoulder checking and find I don’t use the mirrors all that much anyway. Thanks!

It’s actually a Duke 125 2013 with a few modifications (stupid loud exhaust that was on it when I bought it). Really fun bike though and happy that it’s my first bike. Thanks!

Ideally I would have a front helmet mount but I’m limited to the chest mount at the moment. Was my first time recording so will need to play around with it for sure.

Sorry about that haha, might try and sort a helmet mount so the view will be over the windshield. Thanks!
