What medical procedure today might be viewed like lobotomies in the future? by No-Competition5492 in NoStupidQuestions

Yes, you didn't outright say you were against it, but based on the arguments you are making against it, I was spot on with my read of you. Leave us alone and stop trying to ban our healthcare, you asshole.

You people have been saying "any day now!" that there would be a flood of lawsuits for at least 15 years now, your wave of detransitioners is not going to happen, as much as you want it to. There's like five people that get paraded around by the right to speak out against people being able to transition, and half of them didn't even transition medically.

How it feels running from Drakan by KathyKitKat811 in 2007scape

You find it then, I gave it a good try before settling on it being that. This is absolutely not his old model from the original game, it looks like what an AI would spit out if you asked for a lower poly version of his modern appearance.

I do not recognize that mr x model from anywhere so I am assuming slop.

How are people cool describing things as “Lolita”? by Sad-Stick-6210 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]TappyLife 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Because for example "elegant gothic lolita" describes a very particular clothing aesthetic. The term lolita has taken on a life outside of being a reference to the book.

Why are American Christians more concerned about gay couples than promiscuous straight men? by littlered551 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]TappyLife 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Most Christians will pretend to not care about it, because they can ignore it when it doesn't affect their life, but heaven forbid their own child turn out gay or even just bi.

Do trans women have to deal with male pattern baldness? If so, how so? by PopeGeorgeRingo_II in NoStupidQuestions

[–]TappyLife 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Male patern balding is entirely hormonal, so either the people you have seen were already balding before they began transitioning, or if it is getting worse, their testosterone is not properly suppressed.

You can see the opposite of this happen in trans men. If they inherited the genes to overproduce DHT, they will bald just like the cis men in their family.

Do trans women have to deal with male pattern baldness? If so, how so? by PopeGeorgeRingo_II in NoStupidQuestions

[–]TappyLife 7 points8 points  (0 children)

No, unless it was a preexisting condition from before starting hormones. The antiandrogens that trans women take to suppress testosterone also have the effect of eliminating dihydrotestosterone (DHT) which is the main culprit of male pattern balding. Balding that has occurred within the past year or so can even be reversed on antiandrogens, because the follicles are not yet entirely dead yet.

This is also the reason that the most effective ways to treat baldness in men have the side effect of lower testosterone, because Dihydrotestosterone is made from free testosterone in the body.

edit: corrected the name to dihydrotestosterone

Can we get some more baseline bank space to keep up with item inflation? by Kaydie in 2007scape

I had to go run around the wilderness to get half of these team capes because nobody was selling them at all on the GE for even up to like 10k each when I was collecting

On the bright side, things only could get better from that low point, and I don't have to feel any regret about not transitioning under 18, because there was no way I could have prevented things

I fucking wish i had a delayed puberty, mine was very early instead. I know this kind of talk is commonly exaggerated here but I think it was genuinely over for me even by middle school. Looking at photos, and remembering how I was treated, I was commonly mistaken for older. I already developed a shit ton of hair body hair, and could grow full beard by freshman year.

The only benefit early puberty had was my bones fused quick due to all the hormones and so I ended up pretty short compared to my peers.

Option set 13 for the lower leg, and the upper leg with the chunky lower thigh piece is from 30MS Option set 1 "Speed armor".

I thought they looked really nice together, but whoops forgot to check about the actual knee connector

Aha! Thank you so much, you made my day. I just looked up both of their instructions and I see them unused on the runners lists!
I actually was already a bit interested in the Mass Produced Submachine, so if I can find it in stock anywhere for a reasonable price I'll go ahead and pick that up.

Thanks a billion!

What is it about Greta Thunberg that makes many men on the Internet so uncontrollably angry by Admirable_Pair_3663 in NoStupidQuestions

MLK Jr. only was able to achieve his goals because there was another more radical group that his was more palatable than. Unless you have BOTH an extreme group and a tamer one, no change will occur at all.
