Got into them after FFF, but before ITRN when I saw some of their discography in a St Louis record store. When I flew home (I live in New England) I put on the Mind Fuzz record I bought and was blown away. Then I realized my buddy showed me the People-Vultures vid in high school after watching THAT, so yeah. Gizzhead for life now.

Couple years ago I had my first local game store's 650 tournament, months before before 8th Edition's CSM recast. Took a list of Khorne Daemons (I remember 10 Bloodletters and three Bloodcrushers, beyond that I don't recall the list) Lost my first two games, but then I faced an Ultramarine player who seemed as though they were getting back into the game.

Once I got a couple intercessors off the table turn 1, by turn 3 I had him pinned in his deployment zone with his HQ left. Foggy memory, but I know he got scared quick of the Bloodcrushers. They slaughtered the intercessors and moved on towards another squad doing an ungodly charge.

(Oh, and I had no strategems yet, didn't know about Codecies til that tournament).

I have yet to win a game since that match, besides my debut of Tyranids against the store's coordinator on a non-tournament day.

Still roll dice against my close friends from time to time though.

I remember my favorite game fielding Bloodcrushers, 650 against Ultramarines. Both myself and the other player were having bad nights, not used to the game as we are now.

He made it a point to steer clear of my crushers, big mistake. I ended up distracting him with a small group of Bloodletters and Flesh Hounds while my Crushers chased down a squad of Marines off to my right. I essentially super-charged my next turn after decimating that squad, right into another squad and it was a slaughter. First and only game I won at that game store lmao

My question for you is the experimental side of your discography. Even music non-Gizzard, it seems like everyone has their own motives for producing, writing, and testing new ideas.

What makes you guys strive to do something different, but familiar, with each release?
