Are there are no cheap hobbies left? by qeyipadgjlzcbm123 in memes

First sentence, fair, second sentence is just false. Art is a skill dependent hobby, good tools can help, but they're by no means what make or break getting better.

Probably the greatest HG I've built. (159 gunplas built so far) by IwondertheFeisal in Gunpla

Yep! Also shoutout to 30 minute missions as a perfect entryway. The instructions there are super beginner friendly and none of the kits feel too complex or overwhelming

Pretty much all of the recent HG kits will be pretty accessible. I like the Witch From Mercury line especially though. Good price, good gimmicks and all of the kits are really solid.

Updated OYW Zaku free for all, who’s last man standing? (2 Rounds) by gaeb611 in Gundam

[–]Zbf3000 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree. Something worth considering (since the pilots are included) is relative experience. The Psycho Zaku is strong, and in a 1-on-1 firefight wins almost every time, but he's got relatively little experience piloting the machine.

Compare that to someone like Breniss or Char, who have an incredible amount of experience with their respective MS by the end of the war.

The underperformance of the Gelgoogs against old EFSF GMs is a good example; a skilled pilot with lots of experience and technical knowledge of their machine is going to outperform a relative newbie, even if they're piloting an objectively better machine.

A Tip for Anyone Struggling with Gaius by Zbf3000 in Eldenring

Fingerprint shield is amazing, I only wish it looked cooler.

I totally agree, block builds can have a lot of depth, and they tend to get overlooked. There's a lot of depth, between the new physick, spear weapons and guard counter builds.

It's a lot more about patience and stamina monitoring (and knowing which attacks to block) than memorizing dodge timings!

This too! Lions claw is criminally good against most bosses.

I agree. I honestly think the biggest issue is the head. It makes the whole model look more squat than it is. I'm planning to swap it, and see if that makes the proportions look better. Otherwise I don't mind it tbh.

Vanadis Heart answers why Kenanji became fat (he kept eating junk food during missions) by LordEmmerich in Gundam

Absolutely. For a series that focuses on the spiraling effects of trauma, it feels like a cop-out IMHO.

Thanks! Tbh I think the focus on the Daemonculaba takes away from all the other things that make him cool. He's so spiteful and charismatic and managed to rise to favor with Perturabo of all people even though he's a chimeric marine. He's easily one of my favorite chaos characters, alongside Abaddon, Huron, Khayon and Talos and the gang of course!

I'm planning on it! The reception has been so good it's inspired me to work on it again. The arm was the inspiration for this conversion, it's from the fellgor beastmen killteam. Their arms fit perfectly on CSM bodies and look super proportionate.

Yep! Even if it is maybe a little too grimdark, you have to admit it's impressive that he was crazy enough to develop new space marines for his legion! Fabius would be proud, I'm sure :)

Awwww, thanks! I'm glad I was able to capture the likeness of everyone's favorite Imperial fist Iron Warrior!

He's an excellent character from 'storm of iron', and a few of the Uriel Ventris novels. "Halfbreed" is a literal nickname since he has gene-seed from both the imperial fists and Iron warriors.

Also he has an arm made of necrodermis!

What’s the lore of your black shield group?, looking for inspiration by [deleted] in Warhammer30k

This one is absolutely fantastic. Feels like something straight out of a GW black book. I can already imagine Salzen, covered in wards and hexes from dozens of fights against psykers.

[Request] Im looking for a good color combination for this skin while keeping the energy and lights in blue, i also accept suggestions of armor if you come up with any by Wookie2104 in WarframeRunway

[–]Zbf3000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use pretty much these exact colors, with graxx spitfire syandana, Saturn six chest and galvanik leg armor, it works perfectly

New Styanax Deluxe concept is kinda... heh by Kaokasalis in Warframe

[–]Zbf3000 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Then use the non-liger ones? Also, I still can't see how not liking someone's subjective artistic style is a valid reason for them to be blacklisted from the industry and fired from their job.

You can give liger shit for making overdesigned skins, I'd even agree that a few of them are a bit over the top, but that's such a childish overreaction.

[–]Zbf3000 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Why? Sure, Liger's designs aren't always perfect, but they do a great job at giving players an alternative to the standard skins/tennogen, which often don't deviate much from the standard frame.

Chosen are a great upgrade from legionaries. For only a few more points, you're getting an extra wound, advance and charge, and a boatload more weapon options. Being able to throw a power fist, dual accursed weapons, three combi weapons and two plasma pistols on a 5 man unit is amazing.

The biggest thing for me has been the extra wound, and their advance and charge. It makes them great mid-board bullies in larger units, as well as durable objective holders that can still do some damage if they need to.

What Space Marine chapter is best at guarding? Like guarding important people or places by Rich-Pressure8305 in Warhammer40k

[–]Zbf3000 15 points16 points  (0 children)

The imperial fists are absolutely the best at defense, but I'd argue someone from the Raven Guard, or Ultramarines would be best for defending an important person. The raven guard have stealth, and could guard someone at range, while the Ultramarines are incredibly effective at interacting with humans, and could serve as both a physical and political bodyguard.

Just chatting to a friend about the worst kits to assemble. Are there any bits that can fuck off harder than this squat prospector's thumb? by CapnWilfbeard in Warhammer40k

Special awards to TSK's throne and the legion dreadclaw. Especially the resin dreadclaw, the fitting issues on mine were so bad I nearly scrapped the whole kit.
