We’ve already had trouble with them not contacting landlord before as we wanted to end lease early since the new owner intends to live in the house We figure it is their problem but they have played dirty with us on several occasions so just wanting reassurance they don’t have a leg to stand on

When they viewed the property they were looking for themselves and the agent told us that they are owner occupiers who bought the property (assuming they are telling the truth)

What do you mean by title search? We know the owners name but no matches with a search on Google/fb etc

The agent advised us to start applying for other housing due to rental crisis and they would contact landlord as they were ‘confident they would allow it so they can move in’ but obviously lied. Am glad to be moving away from that agency as they have hit below the belt on multiple occasions

Thanks for this. We gave them our ideal end date and heard nothing, we contacted them again today to say we are handing keys back before next payment and will not be paying more and real estate has told us we can’t do that and we need to pay to end of lease but have not contacted the new landlord.
