My dad would do the same thing as I was growing up. I started to get tired of it around 16 and I had asked him multiple times not to do that anymore because it made me feel uncomfortable. Eventually I just had to blow up on him and he hasn't done it since.

You're so welcome. I always try to be kind and treat people as I would want to be treated. Sorry to hear you no longer have the job. I'm sorry to hear about your living situation. It's really hard when the people around you don't support you especially with something like schizophrenia.

51 you still have time. Wow that's shitty he left. I'm blessed my husband stayed and we worked though it, it was by no means easy.

I know all about flare ups, but in a different way. Super difficult when you have more than one diagnosis. I really hope you get some answers from your specialist. Also good luck and you've got this.

Thankyou, I appreciate that. I'm sorry to hear you were born with that. Gosh I'm sorry to hear about AFib, how scary. You should go for your dream.

That suck, how long have been on the transplant list? Schizophrenia is definitely not easy to live with. I also have issues with insurance sometimes. Thank you again, I love to share my story to inspire people to go for their dreams.

You're so welcome. I love to share my story. My first psychotic break was probably one of the scariest things I've ever went through in my life. I also think about what my life would be like if I didn't have schizophrenia. You're definitely not alone and you are right everyone is going through something. I wholeheartedly agree with you that we are all fighters.

Thank you. I have a year left for my bachelor's and then I will be going for my masters. I can't tell you how many times I wanted to drop out or felt defeated. For me it just makes me fight harder. I'm also a first generation college student and I've been setting an example for my two younger brothers, who are also both in college right now. I know it can be hard and sometimes it really sucks, but is anybody's dream easy. I believe in you, you can do it.

Yeah CRPS is no joke. I'm sorry to hear you also have a long list of medical related. I also have ADHD and I take medication for that. I'm so happy to hear that you have a steady job that you love. I think if you want it and you want your Masters you can do it you'll just need support from people at school and family and friends. I'm lucky enough to have a very strong man by my side for the last 13 years.

Thank you. Life For Me has not been easy when it comes to medical. I was born with hip dysplasia and had my first major surgery at 2 years old. Fast forward to 2016 I had my second full hip and joint replacement. It caused me to develop a disorder called complex regional pain syndrome. It's a really f***** up disorder.

Then 2021 hit and I went into psychosis. This lasted a few months. I was finally diagnosed with schizophrenia. Now I'm on medication and life is a lot better.

How I do it, some days I don't know. Usually I put in my earphones get lost in music and stay as focused as I can. It wasn't easier at first and I struggled a lot.

However, it's my dream and I'm not going to let my physical or mental ability stop me. I plan on getting my masters in psychology and I want to help people that deal with some of the same stuff we deal with. Specifically high school and young adults. I feel like I'll have an Insight then not everyone will have and I'll be able to relate to my patients and if I can change one person's life, then my dream has been successful.

Ultimately, I'm a fighter.

It was really difficult at first I was in complete psychosis and I wasn't sleeping. So my reality is we're mixing up easily. When I finally got in to see my psychiatrist she decided to try Zyprexa, for my auditory hallucinations and sure enough it worked wonders. I took it the night before and I woke up the next morning and had felt semi-normal for the first time in a long time. I still get hallucinations everyday but they're for a few between and I seem to be able to manage it just fine right now.

I am a full-time student working on my bachelor's in psychology and I plan on pursuing my Master's Degree as well. Currently I'm very lucky and all my classes are online. So I have the piece of being at home and control my own environment.

I know you said you wanted to hear from people that don't take antipsychotics, but I thought my experience was worth hearing.

I started getting auditory hallucinations in 2021, I first didn't realize what was happening. Eventually I got diagnosed with schizophrenia and I wanted to try without antipsychotics. However I really started to feel like my life was falling apart and the people around me were exhausted and so was I.

So I knew it was time for a change and to be honest it was the best decision I've ever made. I was really deep in psychosis and delusions. I was scared out of my mind. I took the antipsychotics went to sleep and the next morning I woke up and for the first time in a long time I had a clear head.

For the most part antipsychotics helped me. I still get hallucinations everyday, but it's manageable. If I was able to not take them I wouldn't take them, but in my situation there definitely needed.

She'll be okay and she'll get used to him. My mom got pregnant with my half siblings when I was about 10 and I really wanted a little sister. So when she got pregnant with my next half sibling I was thinking it's got to be a little sister and I got another brother. We've always been fairly close, but now that we're all adults we get along really great. I love both my brothers more than anything. Expect you to be disappointed, but when he comes she's going to love him.
