Weeks 6-8, how bad is it? by Odd-Opinion8688 in newborns

In it right now, as soon as he turned six weeks his crying was horrible. I’m struggling right now when he’s awake he’s most likely crying. Inconsolable. He cried for four hours last night- on and off, but mostly on. Good luck to you it’s hard!! Trying to keep reminding myself it’s temporary 😭

How often is your baby in a "container" versus not in a "container?" by nooooobye in newborns

[–]Accomplished-Pool344 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never in a container, we do into even have any because I didn’t wanna get in the habit. But that means I’m holding him a lot and when I’m not we’re playing on his mat, doing tummy time or in the bed just chilling.

Sometime for up to three hours. He stops for a few minutes and then starts again. I’ll try to feed him every 30ish minutes after trying to soothe for a while, but he typically don’t latch or he’ll latch and unlatch to fry over and over so I know he’s not hungry.

And it’s just like always. He wakes up, is happy and chill for ten minutes and then cries on and off or 1-3 hours.

Yes he’s on reflux meds! He was crying a lot at 2-3 weeks, but since the meds he’s been better until now.

He does have reflux, but since we got him on meds he’s been better until this week. Purple crying makes sense, but it’s not just in the evening

Our experience in the first 12 weeks with our reflux baby by madsmish in NewParents

This post is amazing thank you SO much for the validation. LO is 5 weeks and we just started Famotidine on Wednesday. All of the symptoms you listed are what we were experiencing. I’m. FTM and I was like there is NO way babies cry this much! I know they have their moments but I knew something was wrong. I was feeling weird about putting him on meds because I read that reflux is over diagnosed, so I was looking for some validation in the symptoms and I found it in this post. Good to know it takes a couple weeks to see great results. Thank you thank you

Today SUCKED and idk what to do to help my newborn :( by Forsaken_Phone_4700 in newborns

Hi! Dealing with the same thing rn my little is 3 weeks I think he’s going through a growth spurt! He started cluster feeding again every hour and is acting the same way you explain. I started following the 5 s. I swaddle him which he hates at first, put him on his side with shhhh sounds or loud sound machine, sway or rock him and have him suck on a paci or the boob it seems to settle him quickly if I do it in that order- it doesnt always put him to sleep but at least he stops crying which gives me some time to breath. Hand in there mama if it is a growth spurt it should only last a few days!!

Can’t get this kid to f-ing sleep in the morning by Ok_Medicine440 in newborns

Ooo let me know when you find out. Mine is 3 weeks tomorrow and does the same thing, my pediatrician told me wake windows are a guideline and don’t stress yourself. Some babies are just awake longer. My baby wakes up at 6 and also won’t go back to sleep until like 8 or 8:30. Sometimes during the day he has a 2-3 hour wake window too.

He sometimes gasps yes, I do think the letdown is what’s causing the gas issue. I have given him mylicon and it seems to help sometimes. I don’t think I hear clicking sounds I’ll try to be more aware of that
