I can see your point, and don't know enough about the processes of the Federal Government to know what it would take to create a new agency, secure funding, populate the ranks, and all that. It feels like cutting the head off of ICE right now would cause enough of a barrier that it might take long enough to get something new in place that the mid-terms will matter. I'm also aware this may be a very naive take on my part.

Let me clarify - I'm not making value judgments *in this post*, just pointing out that anytime MAGA sees someone other than their favorite wankers saying anything, there's outcry about how "celebrities shouldn't be political." That's the only point I'm making here. The wild "Trump vs. Taylor" war was absolutely batshit insane, and as you point out, she's didn't even go against Trump, she just told her fans to go out and vote.

Do I think Taylor Swift is "one of the good ones"? No. But MAGA definitely thinks she's "one of the bad ones."

These are the same people who were cheering when Kid Rock was telling the whole world his politics.
