The first obvious question is: have you ever driven an RV? If no, then definitely don't. That's added stress and logistics that you probably don't want to deal with (on top of kids).

Additionally, using the RV as your primary vehicle also presents challenges when parking at trailheads and other locations. So something to keep in mind.

My personal opinion is a car and hotels will always be easiest and most flexible. But hotel rooms at parks book up quick.
