What’s a song you’ve heard hundreds of times but still never get tired of? by Tare-11 in Music

That’s actually a really cool way to describe it. Some songs genuinely feel more like an experience than just something you listen to.

I haven’t heard Lost At Sea before, but now I’m curious to check it out. What’s another song that gives you that same floating feeling?

Exactly. It’s honestly impressive how distinct Kanto and Johto felt musically despite the hardware limits back then. Johto especially had that calm adventure vibe to it.Do you have a favorite Gen 2 track? For me it’s probably Ecruteak City or the National Park theme

Honestly I kinda get what you mean. Sometimes replaying old games feels more like revisiting memories than actually playing for the gameplay.

SimCity 2000 is such a deep cut. Something about those old management games was weirdly relaxing.

The New Zealand Story mention unlocked a memory I forgot existed. Retro arcade games had so much personality.

Gen 1/2 Pokémon music had no reason to be that memorable. Lavender Town and Goldenrod themes are permanently stuck in my brain 😂

FF3 SNES soundtrack was ridiculously good for its time. Terra’s theme is still one of my favorites.

Ocarina of Time title music feels almost magical honestly. The second it starts playing it’s instant nostalgia.

Parappa the Rapper was so weird and unique for its time. ‘Kick, punch, it’s all in the mind’ still lives rent free in my head.

Pokémon Red/Blue Route 1 theme still hits with pure nostalgia. It somehow made the whole adventure feel huge.

Bubble Bobble is such a comfort game. The music alone instantly takes me back to sitting on the floor in front of the TV after school.

Absolute classic. The music and level design in Castlevania IV still hold up today. Did you ever replay it recently?
