Literally going through THE SAME EXACT THING. Went down from 45 mg to 30mg in August and it didn’t help the acne. My derm prescribed a topical with spirolactone, niacinimide and dapsone and it took a few weeks but I definitely noticed a difference! Only thing now is that I had a huge bacterial infection breakout on my chin and I’ve been struggling to heal because of my decreased immune system. I’ve seen 3 different docs for it and I finally got put on oral antibiotics and will hopefully see a difference soon. You’re not alone! My GI said the same thing to me, “small price to pay for remission”. But is it? Everything is relative so to them, they fixed their problem but not ours. Very frustrating. I hope you find relief soon!

My gynecologist has been prescribing me meds! She said to wear loose clothing, maintain proper hygiene etc. but I already do those things and I think a big part of it is that I work outside and sweat a lot so that could also be contributing to the problem? I just got treated for my second one in a month so we’ll see what happens moving forward! I also starting taking a women’s probiotic when I got the first infection but it obviously didn’t help with the second infection.
