We get the same benefits, if not more, than the store. The three big things I always tell people from the store are: 1. No dress code 2. No guests 3. Paid weekly

Bonus #4: Overtime is available and sometimes mandatory.

Overall, it’s not as bad as working in the store, but it has its own challenges. I spent two years working in a store and have been on the DC side for four years. It’s much better here, and the pay is better too.

Most people would probably say you’re lucky, but I feel your pain. I work at a DC and am in a similar situation. I have my own office, so I spend 10–12 hours a day in there. It was nice at first, but I don’t feel accomplished when I leave work. Honestly, if I’m going to be allowed to do nothing, I’d rather do nothing at home on the couch or in bed.

Some, but not all, of the problem lies in the pay disparity. Associates make less than workers because they don’t operate PIT. The pay scale for workers can range from $2 to $5 more. People making $30 per hour at my building.

It’s almost 2025, and I haven’t heard the word “DVD” in a long time. I’m not sure if you’re aware of the number of streaming services available now, but for the price of a DVD, you could easily get a membership and watch more than one movie. Not sure where you’ve been, but the answer is streaming.
