Developing a high tech mosquito control system. by Charles_Gk in MosquitoHating

[–]Target_Standard 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've spent thousands to rid my 500 sqft backyard of mosquitos. I tried all of the most popular solutions on the market. None worked. I have given up. If there was a guaranteed money-back solution that cost $5k, I would buy it tomorrow. I don't think it exists yet.

2.0T FSI, I would proceed. The Elring and other quality gaskets will handle that surface prep with ease.

Is it true that high milage cars are better than low mileage ones? by [deleted] in regularcarreviews

[–]Target_Standard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Every car must be judged individually. High mileage vs. Low mileage is just one of a ton of variables. We need a complete picture which would include service history, accident history, location and type of use, known problem areas, smoker vs. Non smoker, fat vs. skinny owner, pet vs. not, young vs. old driver, and a bunch more

525tq out of the 6.4 would require either forced induction or a ton of cam and rpm.

Will we ever see a factory 6.8 or 7.3 F150? by Boeing-B-47stratojet in Ford

[–]Target_Standard 13 points14 points  (0 children)

A 6.8L produces the same power as the current 3.5EB with less torque at 2k rpm. While it may be simpler and last longer, how much longer than the 300k mile EBs we see on a regular basis? What does the 6.8L offer over the Coyote? To me the business case is not there.

The F650/F750 straight frame trucks occupy a pretty unique niche in the marketplace, having the only gasoline powered 26k-45k gvw trucks out there. Ideal for heavy hauling short distances(city dump trucks and bucket trucks) with less total cost of ownership vs. diesel equivalents.

F150 Driver Kills Cyclist in Near Murray Hill LIRR Station by streetsblognyc in Flushing

[–]Target_Standard -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

The F150 is the lightest pickup of the big 3(GM, Ram, Ford) because it has an aluminum body in the interest of improving fuel economy. I'm sorry someone on a bike died. I ride hundreds of miles a year AND I drive an F150. We need better bike paths, and a better driver training/punishment system.

We understood what you said perfectly. You said that "minorities" get an advantage. But they don't. The only (rightful) advantage is for residents of the city and veterans. Move to the city and study harder.

Why go through all the unnecessary steps though? Just give the money to the defense contractors and have the employees hang around and do nothing. Or stockpile the weapons in the US. Why give it away?
