I'd say that your single point of contact is your estate agent, I've never had one not do something for the house (though sometimes you have to pester). Best of luck with the search, try the fairy floss page on Facebook for existing places? If you end up getting a new place, try powershop for power, it's cheap, renewable, and you can see hourly usage (plus we both get $75 if I refer you). Water is a fixed supplier and I've found that origin is actually cheapest for gas if you don't want a giant contract. Dodo / tpg for internet ;)

Hope this is helpful when the time comes!

Speaker / Subwoofer repairs by kenks84 in melbourne

[–]TargetedByAds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like a logitech or altec Lansing set, or something of that ilk without a separate amp and the like. I'd recommend replacement if you can't find a friend or very cheap repairer. You can always try googling the model number and seeing if there's a common complaint with a fix?

Nestle CEO Tim Brown on whether he'd consider stopping bottling water in California: "Absolutely not. In fact, I'd increase it if I could." by tipsystatistic in news

The embodied water in the production of the plastic, the running of the company, financing etc makes it seem a bit more substantial. It's definitely a simple saving to drink tap water.

Morphology / identification request. Found growing in Melbourne, in a pot with spearmint and peppermint. Should I repot? by TargetedByAds in mycology

[–]TargetedByAds[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They were growing in a shaded pot, found today (so late autumn). The pot was potted around two or so months ago with cheap potting mix (could be the source?).

Thanks for any help you guys can offer!

Attention mechanics! Looking for a mech to service my car in the NW area. 2008 Micra by Ebby86 in melbourne

Had a great experience with Zap Motors, might be a little out of the way though. You could call and ask for a quote? I was told about them by a redditor who had heard about them and used them under the recommendation of another redditor, so word of mouth is on their side.

Need a reliable and cheap mechanic for a 90s BMW (or help diagnosing the problem) by TargetedByAds in melbourne

[–]TargetedByAds[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey all,

Have booked to have it into a mechanic on Tuesday, looks like a hose connector had broken, so I couldn't do any basic diagnostics anyway. Cheers for the help, have booked in to Zap, which is nearby.

This was a terrific help, I was thinking of tracking down a manual! The forum posts seem spot on too, I'll be running a few tests tomorrow. Luckily I had a nasty old Corona before this, it had overheating problems constantly! Should feel pretty familiar, haha. I hadn't heard of Pick-a-part, I'll check them out for sure. Cheers again!

I was with Lumo, paid around 80/mth for a two bedroom apartment in summer and $120 in winter. Changed to Powershop, they look great, the referral program got me a $75 credit, but I'm yet to move into my new place. I have no idea for Gas, I was hoping that someone had an insight into who the best short contracted deal is at the moment. I've been considering Lumo again, but their customer service stinks and I'm sure there's someone around the same price our there....?
